Berry Resort Hill Ooty Review: A 3-Day Paradise
I recently spent 3 unforgettable days at Berry Resort Hill Ooty, and it truly lived up to the hype. This is undoubtedly one of the best resorts in the region, offering breathtaking views that surpass any other I've encountered in Ooty. Perched atop a hill, the scenery is simply mesmerizing.
The resort itself is beautifully maintained and exudes a serene ambiance. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring.
A highlight of my stay was the delicious food. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing a wonderful blend of local flavors.
The staff, particularly Mr. Predeep at the reception, were incredibly friendly and helpful. Their warm hospitality made me feel truly welcome.

We recently had a pleasant stay at your property, located on the hill-top in the Arani area of Ooty. We selected a room on the first floor with a valley view, which indeed offered a beautiful overlook of the town from the balcony. Your property provides all necessary amenities, though we noted the absence of a room heater or proper wooden flooring to keep the floor warm. During our monsoon stay, the breezy 20-22 degree Celsius weather made the floor quite cold. While extra clean blankets were provided, the open ventilation in our bathroom likely contributed to the cold room floor and might benefit from a proper ventilation system. We were very impressed with your helpful and professional staff. We also appreciated that daily transportation was arranged from the hotel with a professional driver at a reasonable fare. We would recommend this location to anyone looking to experience a hill station from a hilltop, away from the city center. However, it's worth noting that the road to the resort involves off-road driving on a narrow path. The restaurant offered good service. We enjoyed fresh and hot North Indian dishes for dinner, and the breakfast featured local South Indian cuisine. For dinner, we found that ordering in advance and allowing the kitchen 40-45 minutes for preparation ensured no waiting time

Mr Anand service manager - I have pathetic experience in berry hills resort, rooms are not clean , stains are there in superior room, bathroom not hygenic, no exhaust fan, no pressure in toiletjet. No tv channels for entertainment. Day 1 breakfast is also not good, dosa is there but no masala, no other option in breakfast apart from idly n dosa Worse is coming, on last day morning water gone in toilet and shower. After calling multiple times they open another room Service is slow Road to hotel is dangerous and some half a road is damaged I will not recommend this hotel to anyone

I would like to mention 3-4 points which I felt is not up to the mark and not justified the price is
. There is no road to reach the resort The only way to reach is off road that to in very steep
.They charge 1500 and above for bonfire just for an hour .
.No maintainance .
.Nothing complimentary.Tea or coffiee on table .
In this budget you can find better option out there .
Only thing I liked is the view from balcony.

1. Poor Road Access The approach road to the resort is in terrible condition, making it difficult to reach, especially for small cars. 2. Lack of Proper Maintenance Rooms and bathrooms are not well-maintained, small, with issues like broken fittings, dampness, and an overall lack of cleanliness. 3. Limited Food Options & Delayed Service The food is average, overpriced, and takes a long time to be served. 4. Unreliable Hot Water Supply The availability of hot water/geyser is not working in most rooms, especially during the mornings, which is crucial given Ooty’s cold weather. 5. Poor Wi-Fi & Mobile Network The resort is in a remote location, leading to weak mobile signals and poor Wi-Fi connectivity, which is frustrating for those needing internet access. 6. Inconsistent Housekeeping & Service Delays in room cleaning and poor housekeeping services, with requests for fresh towels, toiletries, or room cleaning often going unattended. 7. Overpriced for the Facilities Provided The resort charges premium rates but does not provide a matching level of service or amenities, making it feel overpriced. Looking at the photos, it looks so beautiful, however once you see physically. its different. old structure and not maintained. - Not recommended with the price quoted, better to stay in OYO room. that's why they take the whole payment either in booking or during check-in.
