In the middle of a road construction zone getting into the car park was a guess and getting out a gamble. The wings were delicious and soup nice. The service was excellent and the dining room huge as tour buses were stopping while we were there.

Stopped in on the way back from the folk park for a bite to eat. Seated given menus no one informed us what the soup or roast of the day was and I picked up from nearby tables that they obviously hadn’t been informed either. Food arrived and it was ok. But we could not get anyone after that. After sitting finished with our coats on for 10 minutes I had to go looking for someone. We would have ordered desert but no one came so I just settled up and left. Very poor service.

Absolutely the BEST people in the world make up the hospitality team at the Mellon Country Inn!!! From the moment I arrived, I was treated like family. Everyone is so friendly, polite, professional, and have the biggest smiles for you! The room is an excellent value and very comfortable. The pub serves a great pint of Guinness and the complimentary breakfast is fantastic!! I feel like I now have a second home in Omagh. Thank you to Terri Marie, Mickey, Paul, Patricia, Anna, Danielle, Natalia, Frances, Andy, Gerri, and the rest of the Mellon Country Inn staff for a wonderful stay and a lifetime memory! Just on a whim we called in as we had never been in that area of Northern Ireland before,but pleased we did.It was a nice place to stop off for a Sunday Roast,staff were helpful & the food was great.Will definitely stop by there again at some point in the future.

My husband and I have been there for lunch a number of times and always pleased with the food and service. On our recent trip we had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was not exceptionally busy at the time but the service was quite slow. When we had finished our meal we had to wait for quite some time and did want to order more drinks but gave up in the end, paid the bill and left. The food was excellent but salad leaves on our plates were withered and had seen better days. I never leave reviews generally but felt compelled to do this one as, if the service was improved it would be back to the great place it was to eat.

We had booked 3 rooms well in advance for an event we were planning to attend. At short notice, they telephoned me to advise that they had cancelled our booking. No reason for the cancellation was given and they appeared quite unconcerned that they had let us down and didn’t seem to care that it was now too late for us to arrange alternative accommodation. We have used this hotel for the event that we were planning to attend for a number of years (mainly due to its location) and found it to be adequate, although they didn’t always give us the rooms specified and had to change them on arrival. If you want adequate accommodation that might or might not be available after you have booked, then this might be the place for you. However if you expect your rooms to be available I would suggest looking elsewhere. P.S. Tripadvisor won’t let me post this review unless I state when we went. So just ignore the dates.

This was unreal people never had a steak like it just melt in your mouth !! Fantastic food will definently be back here to eat again . My friend had the beetroot risotto which she really enjoyed as well top marks to you in the melon country inn see you s soon

It used to be great but last time was disappointing. Used to do a cooked breakfast last was buffet self service. Evening meal was lovely and the desserts are very tasty. Big let down plus have to pay a fiver to get the remote for the TV! Not overly expensive and it's not far from the ulster American folk park.

I wanted to share my recent experience at your hotel, which unfortunately fell far below the positive experiences we've had in the past. During our stay, the food was served cold, the atmosphere was disrupted by rowdy travelers, and the foyer seemed occupied by intoxicated homeless individuals, one in particular parading about in her dressing gown with little underneath. We shared breakfast with people in the nightwear and slippers. It was disheartening, especially since we had a wonderful stay last year, prompting me to bring my elderly parents along this time. Despite paying £280 for our stay, the contrast from our previous positive experience was stark. Regular patrons we spoke to even left before midnight due to the unfavorable environment. This was not the memorable and enjoyable experience we were expecting. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as we have cherished memories from our previous visit and would like to see the quality of service and ambiance restored to its former standard.
