We greatly enjoyed our stay at Siana Springs The staff was warm and courteous. The front desk staff regularly checked-in to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. Our steward Leonard kept the rooms spotless and told us a lot about the animals that live inside the grounds, including the deer, monkeys, bats, bushbabies and more. Our waiter Anthony was perpetually cheerful and always seemed happy to see us. The chef made some delicious meals and accommodated our tricky diets (ie, vegetarian, pescatarian and pasta-tarian). I especially liked the curries for dinner, while my older son loved the lamb and chicken dishes. The tents themselves were very nice and much cleaner than I expected. The beds were quite comfortable and we enjoyed taking hot showers after a long day of sightseeing. At night, they put hot water bottles in the beds to warm them up, which was a lovely touch. The power is on from 5 am to 9 am, then 6 pm to 11 pm. It wasn't a problem--just be strategic if you need to charge your devices. The grounds were surprisingly lush and spotless. Each night, they had a big fire with a skilled acoustic guitar player singing African melodies. The pool looked nice and clean, but it was too chilly weather-wise for us to go swimming. Be careful on the ants on the way to the pool--they bite! We asked them to do our laundry, which was done quickly and cleanly. My wife noted that the list of items available for laundry did not include women's underwear, which is not uncommon in this region. Its location is close to the park entrance. It's considerably cheaper than staying inside the park, and the savings are worth it. Plus, you can use your savings to buy goods from the women selling curios outside of the gate. In short, I highly recommend staying at Siana Springs. We look forward to returning some day.
