The View Hotel

We stayed for 2 nights in a Premium View Suite. The room was spacious, well equipped and located on the end of the building. The view was amazing. The buffet breakfast was best at 0700 when the crowds were manageable. The hotel staff were friendly, the room service efficient and the location unrivalled. We did the Valley Loop Road which was a great experience, however in our opinion completely unsuited to relatively low clearance sedans. We ended up hiring a Jeep for the trip and it was expensive but perfect. Think 2025 model vehicle with 700 miles on the odometer. The hotel provides parking which appears to be secure.

Obviously, the 'view' is spectacular. Cabin was very cute. kitchen was nice to have, but didn't have any cups/utensils, etc, thankfully we brought our own. Check-in lady was nice and accommodating. Beware, the pillows are the worst I can ever remember having. Had a very hard time sleeping. The bed wasn't awesome either... The bunk beds were a hit with the kids, but the metal ladder was very loud.

Great room with great views. The room was clean and everything was in good condition. The complimentary breakfast was more than adequate for our family. The attached gift shop and visitor center were a bonus. We will recommend The View to hotel to others.

Very tidy room, comfortable bed. Wake up before sunrise and you will see the best view you will ever see in your life. Just DO NOT eat at The View Restaurant! Bathroom was nice, comfortable temperature in October. Nice little balcony to have morning coffee. Coffee maker in room, tv, etc. Room was quiet both nights, but could hear snorer in next room.

This hotel is clean and maintained. The staff was accommodating, friendly and the Navajo nation is so pleasant. The view is beyond awesome and makes up for the restaurant which is ok and the complimentary breakfast is ok I mean no decaf coffee. But I would really recommend it, just bring your own K- cups

I have wanted to visit Monument Valley since I was a kid. I used to love watching all the American Wild West shows and Cowboy movies and am still fascinated by the desert scenery, coming here was basically a bucket list dream. I stayed two nights as I wanted to take in sunset on New Years Eve 2024 and sunrise on New Years Day 2025. The biggest problem for me was transport. As a solo traveller, I did not want to drive and tour companies only seemed to operate day tours to the park so, I hired a private driver to/from Flagstaff (at great expense) and it was worth every cent! Now I've been here, I can fully understand why they wouldn't want bus loads of tourists staying here, it's just so peaceful and beautiful. I booked my room directly on the hotel website and requested the best, premium view on the top floor. It was very clean, tastefully decorated, the bed was comfortable and it had a nice size bathroom with bath. The plumbing was a little noisy on the first night, but the guests next door were gone the next day and the noise disappeared. It was impressive to see how the hotel is built to blend in with the landscape making it truly unique. Breakfast was included in the room rate, but it did not really appeal to me. I did try the pancakes one morning which were quite nice, along with a good cup of tea but the best thing about the restaurant is the view! There is a microwave and fridge in the room should you wish to bring your own. I was somewhat disappointed with staff. Check in was OK, but staff in the gift shop, restaurant and housekeeping were not the most friendly. I didn't see any of them smile during my two day stay. The hotel website offers a list of independant approved Najavo Guided Tours. I made contact directly and pre booked a 3.5hr custom guided tour, it was the best way to see the park. Guides take you to places within the park that you would not likely see on the public trail. The pick up point was basicallly in The View Hotel Car Park. Without a doubt, the grand finale was waking up at 7am on New Year's Day 2025 to the most magnificent sunrise I have ever seen in my life and all from the comfort of my hotel balcony thanks to The View Hotel!
