Excellent location in a lovely restored building,it's a leisurely 5 min walk to the local fish market. the breakfast is full of lovely fresh fruit,hams, cheese, bread and cakes I loved the fact that we could use the kitchen to cook meals in.the staff are really friendly.the rooms super clean The only SMALL thing that I think needs addressing is the small amount of power points in the room and a lack of USB points. I would definitely go back here and would highly recommend it

Magnificent stay for 3 nights. Warm & welcoming stay by the owners. We loved the open kitchen throughout the day - so nice to be able to come back after sightseeing to make a cup of tea and have a slice of fabulous homemade cake. The location is about 5 minutes from central Olhao but lovely off the beaten track bars, and restaurants. Highly recommend

I just have to admit, that this place is extraordinary. The staff are more than helpful, even if you arrive very late, after the reception has closed. The room was clean, cozy and nice. Not too much or to little at breakfast. Just as you want it to be. They actually offered to make us breakfast to go, since we left very early. I'm living here next time I go to the Algarve region.

Guest Mar was absolutely fantastic. We were so looked after. The hotel is in a quiet area however it is less than 5 minute walk to the market hall and the marina. Within the hotel the bed was very comfortable. The roof terrace was lovely to watch the sunset with a bottle of wine. We stayed on the top floor with direct access to the roof terrace and between 2200hrs -1000hrs that room has exclusive use of the roof terrace which was nice. Breakfast was divine and the complimentary items were a lovely kind touch. Guests have use of the kitchen and the appliances are all so modern and I now have kitchen envy! I will be recommending this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Olhao. I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could. The building has been refurbished to a very high standard. Pleasure staying at this property.

Nous avons séjourné 4 nuits dans cette guesthouse incroyable, ancienne maison de pêcheurs rénovée avec goût, dans un quartier typiquement portugais , non loin du centre ville, du marché et du port. Nous avons apprécié la décoration de l'endroit en premier lieu, le confort des chambres, la terrasse sur le toit, les espaces communs, la cuisine..... Mais ce qui nous a le plus épaté dans cet endroit charmant, c'est l'accueil de tout le personnel qui nous fait nous sentir "chez nous". Les petits déjeuners sont excellents tous les matins, et il y en a pour tous les goûts en sucré et salé, fruits, yaourts .... La cuisine est ouverte pour nous tous les jours jusqu'à 22 h, et nous pouvons sans souci y prendre un café, un jus de fruit, une part de gâteau, des biscuits ou une orange, qui sont laissés à notre disposition durant toute la journée. Nous y avons même dîné tous les soirs car il y a tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner ! Mille mercis à toute l'équipe de Guest Mar pour votre accueil, le partage et votre disponibilité. Votre maison Guest Mar est un vrai bonheur, un ravissement de confort et de bien être !!! Vous savez offrir à vos hôtes tout ce que vous avez, dans un bel esprit de partage avec l'attention et le lien aux autres !!! Nous sommes partis à regret, en ne pensant qu'à une chose, déjà y revenir ..... (Si on voulait juste chercher la petit bête, il faudrait juste changer les confitures barquettes par des confitures en pot, faites maison ou artisanales, et ce serait la perfection !)

Mein Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ich wurde von Joao sehr herzlich empfangen. Mir wurde alles detailliert erklärt. Ich habe für meinen Aufenthalt sehr viele Tipps erhalten. Das Zimmer Peixe-azul ist zu oberst mit direktem Zugang zur Dachterrasse mit einem herrlichen Blick über die Stadt. Das Zimmer war sauber. Mehr Ablagefläche für die Kleider wäre wünschenswert gewesen. Zum Thema Frühstück fehlen mir die passendenen Worte. Ich beschreibs mal mit grossartig, gesund, ausgewogen, riesen Auswahl. Man kann sich zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit einen Kaffee "machen", selber gemachten Kuchen geniessen. Alles im Preis inbegriffen. Ebenso stehen Sonnenschirme zum Ausleihen bereit. Joao führt das GuestMar mit sehr viel Liebe. Ich habe mich sehr sehr wohlgefühlt. Danke.
