This is a peaceful and beautiful location and this wonderful hotel take full advantage of these features. The pool area and gardens are magnificent! Rooms are spacious and we had a large private patio area with excellent views. I could not fault a thing. Personal transportation would be advisable.

I rarely leave reviews, but this time I feel compelled to. What should have been a relaxing stay turned out to be a frustrating experience. The room had several maintenance issues: a leaking shower that flooded the entire bathroom, a torn mosquito net, and various makeshift “fixes” that gave a neglected, unkept impression. The worst part, however, was not the room itself — it was the staff’s response. When we reported the dangerous shower situation (which could easily cause someone to slip and fall), I was told they were aware of the problem and that the solution was to “angle the shower head differently” and call cleaning every time we took a shower. That is not a reasonable solution for any guest, let alone in a place that promotes itself as a relaxing getaway. One evening, around 10-11 PM, we had to call reception again ourselves because the bathroom was flooded again, cleaning was unavailable, and even our request for a simple mop was ignored. We didn’t come on holiday to argue over basic amenities or chase staff for help. Add to that early-morning construction noise, and cigarette smoke entering our room from the balcony, and the whole experience felt careless and far below expectations. The only redeeming aspect was breakfast, which I'd rate 8/10 — but unfortunately, everything else overshadowed it. I cannot recommend this place and sincerely hope management takes guest comfort more seriously in the future.

Our recent stay at Sulia House in Porto Rotondo was a beautiful reminder of what refined and soulful hospitality can feel like. Perched above the glistening Costa Smeralda coastline, this boutique retreat is everything a luxury traveller hopes for: intimate, immaculate, and run by people who truly care. Arrival & First Impressions We were warmly welcomed upon arrival with a refreshing drink and a personal tour of the property. It immediately set the tone. This is not your typical chain hotel experience despite the Hilton name. With just 22 rooms, Sulia House feels more like a private villa than a hotel, nestled in lush Sardinian hills overlooking the sea. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the ambiance exudes quiet sophistication. There is a peaceful energy to the place. Calm, deliberate and wonderfully curated. Rooms & Amenities Upon entering our room, we found a handwritten welcome letter. A thoughtful gesture that instantly made us feel like valued guests rather than just room numbers. It’s small touches like these that distinguish a property and leave lasting impressions Our room was elegantly appointed with quality furnishings, a supremely comfortable bed, and crisp linens that spoke to the hotel’s attention to detail. Nightly turndown service was still offered, a rare and welcome touch that many five star properties have sadly let go of. The room included thoughtful amenities such as a good coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and a well-stocked minibar. That said, there are a few areas where the experience could be elevated further. For a hotel of this calibre, the absence of a smart TV felt like a missed opportunity, particularly for those who enjoy unwinding with their own streaming content after a day of sun and sea. Additionally, while the room was tastefully laid out, the placement of power sockets could be more convenient, especially by the bedside, where many guests now expect easy charging access. The bathroom featured a slightly compact shower, but this was more than made up for by the excellent rainshower and water pressure, which made for a refreshing and invigorating start to each day. Everything in the room felt curated with care and taste, blending understated luxury with a deep sense of calm. Service & Team The true standout at Sulia House is its people. From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant, every interaction was warm, professional, and heartfelt. There’s a palpable pride in what they do. The team operates with a sense of ease and authenticity that makes guests feel like part of an extended family, rather than simply customers passing through. Very relaxing and peaceful place to stay. The bedding is perfect for a sound sleep to recover from jet lag. The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast and service were very good and high quality. All round all staff are kind and helpful. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Our dinner the first night was a 3/5. We also loved our visit to San Pantaleo a highlight for the area.

Sardinia was a new destination for us, a complete unknown other than knowing it is an island in the med. This place was part of the reason why Sardinia is a must-visit. Just outside Olivia and a short drive from the airport is this gem of a hotel. Even though it says Hilton in the name it feels completely unique and has a family run atmosphere thanks to the amazing staff. The rooms are spacious and interesting with fantastic panoramic views of mountains that felt like being in the Rockies in Colorado. The grounds are immaculate and include a herb garden that is used for the cocktails and meals. We were treated to lovely welcome and farewell gifts, plus an umbrella for a rainy morning that was really helpful. The pool area is very relaxing with a wide range of chairs and loungers to use plus a heated outdoor pool with stunning sunset Mountain Views You also receive a list of destinations to visit in the local area which helped as we had not planned our visit other than having booked the hotel. The nearby marinas and beaches south of Olbia are well worth visiting as are the mountain towns, all less than 30min away. Would return whenever possible!

Went here for the first half of our honeymoon (6 days), ended up booking this specific hotel as we came across a third-party video in social media that showcased the hotel. While social media and advertisements tend to lie or not tell the full tale, that was not the case here - this specific hotel absolutely blew us away. The hotel is intimate, cozy and has a stunning view, and is extremely tidy and clean. The rooms are fantastic; they are thoroughly cleaned once per day (actually properly cleaned), and house-keeping swings by an extra time in the evening to change potential wet towels and bring more water/snacks. The restaurant, which is on the more costly side compared to other restaurants in the Olbia area, serves fine dining-esque meals that you will not manage to get many other places in the region, which makes it worth it for at least a night or two. The same restaurant/crew serves breakfast (included as part of the stay), and offers a decently varied selection of food, as well as excellently brewed coffee and freshly-pressed juice. As the hotel is a tad remote, we rented a car for your stay - which we would absolutely recommend. This also unlocks the many stunning nearby beaches (Ira, Marinella, Biancha, Pittolongu etc.), and allows you to visit nearby cities/towns such as Porto Cervo (known for its luxury shopping venues) and Olbia (the largest city/town within an hours' drive). If you, unlike us, prefer staying at the hotel for most of your stay, there is a beautiful pool area that should suit your needs just perfectly. 10/10 hotel, probably the best one I have visited yet in this part of Europe - would without a doubt book this hotel again if we were to revisit Sardinia's northern regions some time in the future, a region that's absolutely stunning in its entirety in our eyes.
