L'Essenza Hotel

Seemed more like a hospital room than a hotel. Room was worn down and certainly no robes like in the photos. Shower was moldy and no soap dish or anything to even put soap on except shower floor. Walls are paper thin and you can hear anything and everything outside the room. Sleep was difficult. I will say the AC worked and was cold. Location good.

A lot of 5 star hotels could learn from this well run hotel. Service cannot be faulted. Staff are friendly, helpful and always greet you with a smile. Other hotels we have visited on this trip have appeared to be indifferent to overseas visitors at times and pandered more to their local tourists which we have found quite surprising. Breakfast is ample and staff ask if you would like a coffee and also ask if you would like a top up. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the location can’t be beat being only a short stroll from shops and eateries. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to people wanting a good option at a reasonable price.

This Hotel is excellent and the people that work there are amazing. I ended up sick for 2 days and they accommadated me for the extended stay. During that time, they consistently sent me emails asking if I needed anything and they would get me food or drink if needed. Great location, Great people, Very helpful. You would be crazy to overlook this Hotel. Breakfast is outstanding on the rooftop also. Well done Essenza. Thankyou very much

Fantastic family run hotel with delicious breakfast. Oblia is not the greatest destination but this hotel was wonderful. Comfortable bed with excellent shower and a great breakfast with lots of options and even eggs cooked-to-order. The lady who runs it helped us get tea at night because there isn't any in the room. So glad we chose this hotel which is very close to the airport (everything in Olbia is close to the airport) but in the more interesting part of the city. The area right near the airport is very depressing, full of strip box stores with poor quality things. Nicer to be in the older part of the city and this hotel is in a great location---central but quiet and not on the main street.

Great hotel for a few days en route to La Maddalena . Centrally located, quiet rooms and very helpful staff - held our luggage after a very early arrival The breakfast terrace is wonderful . Olbia is a charming town with plenty of restaurants and services

This hotel is wonderful! Booked 3 nights for the beginning of our trip to Sardinia this April with the intention of travelling on but decided we liked Olbia and L’Essenza so much that we stayed for a full week. The hotel is newly refurbished, spotlessly clean and the rooms are very comfortable and quiet and relaxing. All the staff are fantastic, from everyone on reception to the breakfast team and the housekeeping team, they are all dedicated professionals with exceptional customer service skills, and all so friendly and kind. We needed a relaxing holiday and definitely had it staying at L’Essenza. Our Italian is basic but the staff all have excellent English and we were given great tips on restaurants to visit. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and catered for different dietary requirements including gluten intolerance which was very helpful. The scrambled eggs and omelettes were the best ever and with the freshly squeezed blood orange juice it was heavenly.
