Silver Seas Hotel

WARNING! BEWARE! This hotel is a complete scam and should be illegal to falsely advertise to this extent. The place had cockroaches, no swimming pool, exclusive beach has no beach and rocky area is locked.off to guests. The included breakfast is only a piece of toast with jam. Anything else is to be purchased. Also, the room had no TV as shown in photos and we had two days no electricity . Was definitely my worst hotel experience, and I tried my best to not let ruin our time in Jamaica but it was difficult dealing with all these issues. There are many better places to stay in Ocho Rios and even some.nice ones for cheaper. I hope trip will stop advertising this on behalf of the business because they are stealing from clients! So wrong. The only accurate thing is a view of the sea.

For the price it was good. The online images give a far more positive impression than exist. That said, I would return having adjusted my expectation. The location is quiet but not the easiest to reach because of the very narrow road. They do have an access via Main Road which they should consider reopening

The food, service and ambience were excellent. Top Tier!!! Our servers were Cristal and Garvin and they were polite, respectful, paid keep attention, very professional, knowledgeable and had a joyful personality. I love them!! Our team had a great evening. Chef Foster came out to greet and thanked us. Nice touch! I would highly recommend you all to visit. Thanks again Team Rok.

This is the 3rd time that I am here (2013, 2019, maby even 2016...) and I must say, that after the first experience I come to stay in Ocho Rios because of the hotel! It is not brandnew, but this a part of its charm. Same way as we persons are also not completely perfect ;-). You will hardly find a hotel with this style out of the past and flair. A big part of the well being is because the very kind and helpfull staff. Also when you are traveling alone you have here always some to help you out with some friendly words. Last but not least it is the few cats in the yard which really makes me feel at home. A wonderful place, very well recommended!

🌟⭐ One star review ⭐🌟 This hotel was an absolute nightmare! 😡 I arrived before my partner, so I decided to check us in but apparently they had no records of my reservation. They had the audacity to question my payment, even after I showed them the confirmation and explained about my discount I got from ******* because of my points. The check-in staff were incredibly rude, making snide remarks the whole time. They claimed there was only one room left and had the hotel porter escorts me to the room, who was also rude passing smart remarks stating that it would have been better if I hadn't shown up at all after I stated that I would just be staying only for a day. I just brushed it off. The room was a disaster - no lights in the bedroom, bugs on the floor and nails clippings on the table. There wasn’t a remote for the AC in the room when I got there. To be honest the room wasn’t that hot it was bearable for me but being that I wasn’t the only one staying there I know my partner want it to be adjusted. Anyway I started getting ready for my date night, partner picks me up and we went to dinner. On our way back I informed him about the AC and told him that I’ll ask about the remote. Got back to the hotel, went to the front desk to ask for the remote, the same person that showed me to the room was the only person there. He started getting loud and my partner at this point had to step in and ask him if this his how he talks to people. His response was “we are all Jamaican”. I had to tell my partner to let it go, it’s ok. The hotel porter then stated that there’s no remote for the AC. Save yourself the headache, honestly I would not recommend this hotel. ******************************* Yeah, I get why people might wonder why we stayed despite all the issues. The thing is, we were in a different parish, miles away from home, and every other hotel was completely booked. It was a desperate situation, and we had nowhere else to go for the night. So, cleaned up the nail clippings and bugs( this was after I settled in the room). It was far from ideal, but we made the best of a bad situation.

Surprisingly decent for the price. To be clear, it's very run down. Pool was out of order and looked as it had been for a while, but it has a little "beach". Top tip, ask to rent snorkel there, you can swim to the reef easily from hotel yourself and save a fortune on excursions. View from the room was incredible! Beware, when they say continental breakfast, they mean 2 slices of toast with jam, and a coffee

I thought the venue was great! It is a 1940s era hotel with huge spacious rooms and a long frontal to the ocean. No sand, just concrete platforms to swim from and access boats and the water. This place is huge and could accommodate several hundred guests.
