What a fabulous place! We felt like we were staying in a Downton Abbey summer manor! Everything here is beautiful, the breakfast was elegant and delicious, the nighttime’s silent, just the wind whispering in the trees. I wish we could have stayed longer. When looking to book a place to stay at Obidos I originally thought we’d want to stay in the town itself, but I’m so glad we decided to stay here. It’s super easy parking right at the front, and so much room for relaxing, wandering and swimming in the pool, it feels like you’re at a spa…and then you can drive or walk (5 min) to the beautiful village of Óbidos. Just perfect, especially if you have a car. Highly recommend!

This was a great find, away from the crowds in the middle of a field area. We could walk, and did to the castle, about a 30 min walk. The rooms are quaint and the breakfast set and catered by lovely women who will cook to your order. It was early yet for the pool or tennis courts to be open but we could see it would be a great place to spend some down time. Nice billiard and tv room to while away a rainy day which we did. Very lovely stay, thanks Silver!

Nothing to criticize here. The garden and the house are absolutely wonderful. We had an apartment which was like a little house, everything in pristine condition with beautiful furniture. There's a car park and a swimming pool. the breakfast was excellent. It is very quiet, in the countryside and walking to Obidos is only about 25mns. An excellent choice Rien à critiquer ici. Le jardin et la maison sont magnifiques, pour trois personnes nous avions un appartement qui était plutôt une petite maison superbement meublée et entretenue. Il y a un parking et une piscine; le petit déjeuner est copieux et excellent. Cet hébergement est très calme à la campagne et à 25mns de marche d'Obidos si on ne veut pas prendre la voiture. Un excellent choix

Stepping back in time here! A beautiful property with amazing views of the walls of the village of Obidos. Large room with matching draperies, bedding and antique furniture. Biggest bathtub I have ever seen. Monogramed linens. Lovely continental breakfast served family style. Great value for the price!

Delightful, historic Inn! An easy walk to Obidos and a magnificent breakfast. Obrigado! The room was lovely, the house was beautiful. We enjoyed playing snooker and exploring the well-groomed grounds. Fantastic experience that we highly recommend.

Be careful when you book this place. Via booking you select breakfast included, but after a while they send message that it is not included. You send a screen shot and they can not read it, they only reply in Portuguese, even though you write in English. Then they send their conditions, those are different form *********** and what you book for. Hanky pinky business. So be prepared.

The Casa d'obidos is a mansion that consists of a few separate buildings (2 floors high), so you can expect a quiet stay with maximum privacy. The hotel is located 5 min drive from the old city of Obidos. The breakfast is served in a furnished dining room that probably served the owner of the mansion. The food was good and fresh. Since we were a party of three, we received a huge room (2 floors) that can accommodate up to 4 people. The room was spacious, yet the shower should be renovated.

I loved our stay at Casa D'Obidos. It was slightly off the beaten path, and during the low season, making our stay peaceful and idyllic. The walk into down was simple, and we certainly didn't need our car. The proprietor upgraded us to a lovely cottage that felt like a slice of vintage Portugal, and was a welcome change after staying in modern Lisbon hotels. A few simple upgrades would make for a 5 star experience: newer, softer towels, a mattress pad for the somewhat lumpy mattress, and a better seal on the shower door. Beyond these simple changes, I wouldn't change a thing. Breakfast was tasty, the grounds were beautiful, and we had a lovely stay. I'd absolutely come back.
