Jenolan Holiday Park Oberon

Good, clean cabins that are reasonably priced. Stayed mid week in May and were pleasantly surprised by how warm the cabins were thanks to the double glazed windows. Great friendly little town to be based prior to visiting Jenolan caves

We had a lovely stay in cabin 21, very clean and had all of the essentials! Heater and electric blankets were lovely! Our friends stayed in the the Imperial cabins, quite outdated but had a lovely time. Wished we could have found some firewood for the outdoor fire.. as it is supply your own. We will know for next time.

Excellent stay. Couldn’t be faulted. Big comfy bed and pillows. Brilliant shower with powerful pressure and ample hot water. Big fluffy towels. Cozy warm cabin. Would easily recommend to anyone and will definitely stay again, particularly as we love visiting Mayfield Gardens.

Myself and my kids along with another family (all women and kids) drove through flooding, strong winds and freezing cold temps to get to this park. We arrived 45 mins prior to check in and were told we could not check in (fair enough). We were then told by the manager that we were not welcome in the park until 2pm on the dot. We had to leave and were not able to look around. The TV in my cabin didn’t work. I told the same manager and he got disgruntled and argued with me and slammed his door in my face. He then texted me an abusive text message at 7:37am the next morning. Followed by TWO visits where he was banging on the door to argue with me. He then videoed me despite me asking him not to. My kids witnessed the whole thing. I told him i was leaving and that i wanted a refund due to the copious amounts of mould all over the bottom of the bedroom walls and bathroom walls. He continued to text me telling me he was declining my refund and ordering me to leave. He kept mentioning in the abusive texts that i had broken the rules of the park because when he asked me to leave before check-in, i went and parked at reception which was against the rules. He ended up calling the police which worked in my favour because the police saw the mould and told him to refund me. He then made a story up to the police officer telling him that i had visited their other park in YOUNG and damaged it. It was absolutely insane. I called the park in young and they were baffled as to how he connected me to this incident. I also work so could easily verify my whereabouts if needed so it was a very silly lie. Not to mention illegal. He refunded me and i left. He then sent me another abusive message. I ignored it. The next morning while at home, he sent me ANOTHER threatening and abusive message which said that he was looking into a law suit and asking me if i “had the guts to back my mouth up in a court room”. I ended up having to call the police again and the same officer had to go and caution him about harassing me. It was unbelievable. I kept proof of all the text messages and all the photos and videos of the mould. Honestly, this experience was horrible and my poor kids were so deflated.

Very aggressive manager!! When first arrived went to use the bathrooms and we were approached by a very aggressive man who told us he was the manager and that we were to get off the property and don’t come back until after 2pm! Once we returned he chased down my car and bashed on the window accusing us of speeding through the park! My kids were very scared and crying! I was afraid to get out of the car! He then cancelled our booking and told us that he won’t be giving our money back! Awful experience! Spend your money elsewhere! I can recommend the Big Trout Motor Inn.

After booking and travelling a far distance, we arrived 1/2hr early wanting to use the toilet. The very abrupt manager told us we should not be on the property. So we left and went sight seeing. We then returned to be pursued again. He accused us of speeding in the park and then refused us entry into our booked accommodation after a very heated discussion which he recorded without permission. Definitely not recommended for families. Might be a good spot for a group of bikies who would like a challenge. Disgusted. He should not be in the hospitality industry or dealing with the public.
