We stayed in oban for 4 nights. We visited the hotel for the tasting menu and with the wine pairing, it is well worth the money. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We ended up booking into the hotel for a night at the end of our trip because we both fell in love with the place. The one night stay we had was really nice and comfortable. While there, you simply have to sample some of their whiskey selection. Big thankyou to Andreas and Stephanie for making us want to come back.

Beautiful property, very friendly to families and dogs. The house hotel was absolutely fabulous and staff were very attentive. Staying in a house hotel was so unique and gave our trip a much needed homey feeling. If we come back this way again, we would absolutely stay again.

This was my second stay and it didn’t disappoint. Classically beautiful and comfort furnishings and decor, and so peaceful with stunning views to wake up to across the loch. The food and service was wonderful again,

This hotel is perfect! Everything from the location, the food and the facilities. What makes it so incredibly special is everyone who works there who go above and beyond to take care of you at every point! Looking forward to returning!

We stayed New Years Day night on our way up to Mull. The room was clean and decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Our evening meal was superb. Everyone made such a fuss of our dog and the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. We met some guests who had been at the Hogmanay party the night before and said it was fabulous. So, we’ve booked in for New Year 2025!

Upon arrival the staff were warm , welcoming and personable. The room we stayed in had an extremely comfortable king size bed. The feather bolsters and matching cushions made relaxing and watching television at the end of the day very comfortable. The food was excellent, as were the waiters and waitresses attentive, friendly service. If I could make one suggestion it would be to possibly introduce some simple bar food for when guests feel like a light bar snack such as soup and a sandwich. We were lucky enough to be staying at the Knipoch hotel over Hogmanay, where we attended the Hogmanay celebration. The event was well organised, with an excellent meal, games and dancing into the early hours of New Year’s Day. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was stunningly decorated for the holiday season. This hotel is what one expects in the Scottish countryside. All staff were very friendly and helpfull.

Would highly recommend. Gorgeous rooms, gorgeous inn. Excellent staff. Nearby Oban is a lovely place to spend a day out.

Very comfortable bed, friendly staff and fabulous food. Those aspects were really good. Christmas lunch (served over 90 covers) was very well done although the vegetarian option a let down. Breakfast was superbly cooked each day. Could improve service by delivering marmalades etc at same time as toast! Sound proofing and/or noisy guests at odd hours - including barking dogs - less enjoyable. Sofas in lounge area too low and uncomfortable. Felt as if there was insufficient public spaces for the number of guests. Better advice on local walks/activities would be helpful. A boot room for walkers needed.
