I arrived here after a long drive. I was excited to stay at this Fairfield, as this would be my 50th Marriott night. On the Bonvoy site, Marriott clearly states that at certain levels, “you are entitled to an upgrade if available.” And thats a complete lie. I’ve asked for probably 10-12 upgrades after I reached the proper level, but not a single property granted it. I was thinking and hoping, with it being my 50th night, that I could be upgraded to a suite. But when I arrived, the FD person had no idea what I was talking about, and seemed to not understand. While she was shuffling papers and messing with the computer, another employee came walking up. I think she was coming back from her lunch because she was still chewing food upon arrival. When the FD person asked her about my upgrade, she just blew me right off with “you’ll have to go on the app and reserve it.” Well, you cannot go on the app and book a suite, for the price of a regular room. And she 100% knew it. Pig. So I told them no problem and to cancel my reservation - not they they cared at all. And then I drove a few blocks further and stayed at a Marriott Town Place instead. Glad I did, as it was really nice. And btw, all the rooms are suites, so I didn’t even need to ask for the upgrade (that I wouldn’t have received anyway). So to you, manager or supervisor of that crummy Fairfield, you should pull up my Trip Advisor page and look at all the terrific reviews I’ve written over just the last year. And you guys would’ve had one too, if your desk ladies had any sense (and basic human compassion). But instead my friend, you get the toilet bowl. I can only imagine staying there and having any issues, because you’d simply be screwed. 1 star because I can’t do 0. I 1000% DO NOT recommend.
