Sandies Baobab Beach Zanzibar

Loved this place and it's beach. A real wonderful clean beach. The only issue is that anyone from next hotels can access their beach which means the beach is not private. Room was Cosy, clean and comfy. Loved it and would go there again. The internet needs to be improved.

We arrived just before midnight. The reception was helpful and took us to our room. The room key has a special way to unlock. The shower water flow was not good and it’s not warm enough. The hotel environment was pretty good, so is the food. When I walked on the beach alone, one masai man approached me and asked for money, which made me feel very uncomfortable. The food was pretty good. When I checked out, the bell man was super slow to come. Front desk staff could be a little more polite. For a hotel charging a few hundred dollars per night, the service could be better.

Honestly this was an amazing resort. Lovely team who make your stay here enjoyable. I cannot rate this place enough. I have moved to a different part of the island and it’s not the same at all. I enjoyed my 3 nights there. I would have stayed for the full 8 nights if I did not book a double stay.

The place is very nice and the beach is beautiful. But in my opinion they should have water sports like rentable kayaks or jetskis and organising boat rides and snorkelling trips for a charge. But one disadvantage is that it is a long drive to stone town or even from the airport. It is good to enjoy the Nungwi beach and Mnemba Island on the other side. Waters are very clear and warm The place is dotted with many Baobab trees which make it look very nice. Room service levels could improve, responsiveness is low. There was also a construction happening next door so a jack hammer kept going non stop during the day. We walked around the streets quite a bit and explored few restaurants in the area as well.

This Hotel has a great atmosphere the views are amazing, the People are very kind and welcoming. The food for a all inclusive hotel is surprisingly very good. The actives are also very nice, like Beachvolleyball, football, pool, stretching and so on.

We couldn’t have make a better choice! Incredible the availability, the kindness, the heart and the smile of this family of professionals. Thank you to Amir, the manager: amazing!!, all the people of reception (Eric, Misa, etc), the lady’s of cleaning, the gardeners, the people of the bar (Ally, Martin..) and all of the people of the restaurant, the chef: the most kind and cute, Asham the manager very nice and all the crew (Edward, Monica, Latifa, Daud, Sarafina, all all) amazing! Thank you making our 3 dates even more special that we thought, never in our mind imagine pass this dates with so many love around us! Thank you everyone for everything and every surprises that makes our heart melt for you and more for your country too! We’re definitely coming back! We just came back from our wonderful vacation . Highly reccomend the hotel. Rooms are daily cleaned and all the amenities are refilled regularly. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Our children were especially happy. The view from the pull is fantastic. The best spot for sunsets. We will be defenetly back.

We had a perfect and unforgettable stay at Sandies Baobab. The stunning beachfront location, warm hospitality, and comfortable accommodation made it truly special. The staff were incredibly attentive, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was so relaxing. I can't wait to return!

It seems the manager of this hotel thinks the beach belongs to him. The beach in front of the hotel is public and any person can sit there on the sand. However the staff of this hotel is all the time telling people that the beach is property of the hotel and that people that are not guests are not allowed o sit there. I saw this situation many times and it is ashaming. I will never stay there anymore.
