This was our second stay with Carlos y Werner. Once again a great experience! The breakfasts are just incredible and the room was perfect. There was also a lovely atmosphere of friendly and worldly guests that we enjoyed meeting during breakfasts. If there’s anything you need or want to know, all you gotta do is ask. These guys are a wealth of information. Every time we went to a store of restaurant and say “we’re staying at Casa Donna Rosa” the people have great things to say about Carlos and Werner!

Our stay was too short! We had high expectations returning to Nuevo Arenal and Casa Donna Rosa, and Carlos and Werner excelled! Such a great experience! They think of all the details. Don’t skip breakfast! So good! Invaluable excursion help!

Amazing hosts along with beautiful views and very clean and comfortable rooms. Had Toucans at our back porch and during breakfast. Must stay when traveling through. The hosts are welcoming, very knowledgeable about the area and cook a delicious breakfast!!

Carlos and Werner are wonderful hosts and this B&B was one of the best accommodations we have stayed in. The bed was super comfortable, the shower and ensuite amazing and they have thought about so many little touches that made this an excellent stopover in the Neuvo Arenal/La Fortuna area. The Costa Rican breakfast was delicious and their home is stylishly furnished and decorated, yet instantly comfortable. With the view of Lake Arenal from the balcony this was easily the best accommodation we stayed in and such good value for money. The drive around Lake Arenal was a treat and I loved Neuvo Arenal as a small safe local neighbourhood to stay in with a choice of eateries. Thank you Carlos and Werner for your superb hospitality, they couldn't have been more accommodating, wished we'd stayed longer.

By far my first recommendation for a delightful Costa Rican experience in Nuevo Arenal. Casa Donna exceeds expectations for attentiveness, accommodations, exceptional food, and atmosphere. The grounds are absolutely stunning and immersive. We dined with toucans and exotic songbirds on a breezy rooftop, slept in an adorable well appointed casita, and always had the guidance and knowledge of Carlos and Werner for restaurants and attractions in the area. If I could live there forever I would!

My wife and I went to this amazing place few weeks ago. We got there around 11pm because we had some issues getting to the location. We were thinking how we were going to get in but, Mr Werner was waiting for us. He gave us a very warm greeting and helped us with our luggage. Every morning for 10 days we were delighted with a gourmet style breakfast made by Carlos (who is also amazing). Something different and tasteful every day. We had an amazing view from our balcony. They provided us with fresh bananas to feed the birds from our balcony every day. They were extremely helpful with advice on different sites to see in the surrounding areas. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to all our friends, family, and anyone reading this review. Thank you Werner and Carlos for all your hospitality.

I have to start by saying that Carlos is an exceptional chef. The breakfasts he prepared for us were absolutely amazing. Out of all the places we stayed in Costa Rica, this was by far one of the best. The hosts truly go out of their way to provide personalized care, offering great tips on local attractions and suggesting activities to help you make the most of your stay. If you are looking for a place to stay close to Monteverde or Arenal National Park or something midway to both, then I would definitely recommend Casa donna rossa for its unforgettable experience.

My husband and I stayed in the wonderful Royal Coop Suite at the Casa Donna Rosa Bed and Breakfast. We felt like royalty between the stunning accommodations and the attentive host. They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions but also made delicious breakfast for my husband. To top it off they provided bananas to attract tropical birds to the porch of our room. Carlos and Werner know how to do things right.

Carlos and Werner are the perfect hosts! Everyday we got a different and amazing breakfast. Help for trips, restaurants and road conditions were very useful. The location is great - trips to Monteverde, Rio Celeste or Cañas are within driving distance for daily tours.
