Crossways

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. We highly recommend. The room was decorated really well with an extremely comfortable bed. Bathroom offered both a bath and a walk in shower everything was spotlessly clean. We are on one evening and the plated Sunday lunch was lovely. The breakfast was delicious plenty to offer both continental and then a menu to select a warm option. It may be a bit off the beaten track but well worth the country roads.

Nice 1 night stay , nice evening meal and breakfast. Big clean rooms and nice toiletries. Nice food and nice atmosphere. Ideal place to explore Glastonbury and Wells and the Somerset levels. Set in a quiet village. Lovely reception staff and restaurant staff.

We had to cancel our booking 24 hrs before arrival due to unforeseen extreme weather conditions causing an outdoor event we were going to attend to be called off. Charged full rate paid as cancellation fee. Hotel refused to consider any gesture to help offset this charge. Ouch!!

Yesterday The Crossways hosted the wake gir my beautiful wife and I cannot praise them enough. I thought I’d given them a realistic number for the catering but I’d woefully underestimated and we swamped them. Their reaction was brilliant. Yes, people might have had to wait a few extra minutes at the bar, and the catering staff had to work at one hundred miles an hour to keep up but I am so happy with how they responded. I’ve attended many functions here, as well as visiting just for food and drink. It is an outstanding venue set within extraordinary scenery and I cannot thank them enough for coping under enormous pressure and helping me give my wife the send off she so deserved . Thank you.

This was my first time going on a coach holiday. It was very well organised, the day trips were interesting. Our driver Dean and Tour manager Brian made sure we had everything we needed. My mum has a walker and they got this on and off the coach for her. I would definitely travel again with Crossways.

The best way the describe The Crossways is that it is a bit like an English rural version of the Holiday Inn or Marriott Courtyard. It is modern, spacious, well-designed, and well-appointed. It caters to those who want reliably good accommodation without going into the luxury market. Being in the Somerset countryside, though, it is built with local stone, and blends in reasonably well with the small village it sits in. With this, though, it does feel a little charmless. Walking in, it always felt a bit like a social club and I wouldn't really want to spend much time in the common spaces. The rooms are very good, with lots of space and all the amenities and fittings you would expect in an American-style hotel. At the price point, it is pretty good value. There is also a large car park right next to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. The only real downside is that the food is just a bit mediocre. It's not bad, but it really isn't good either. I don't think it reaches the standards that they are trying to achieve. We had dinner there only once, and decided to go elsewhere thereafter, and we soon stopped having the cooked breakfasts too. Although to be fair, the full English is like you would get at any other hotel chain: reasonable, but nothing to write home about. For people who are not used to driving in the English countryside, beware that the only way to travel the last few miles to North Wootton is on single track roads with passing places!

Awesome hotel - So accommodating From my initial booking where I booked online and forgot to add the discount code that was on offer, the changes were made on the booking without any issues - manager was really helpful to sort it quickly We chose Crossways Inn as our hotel after we got married at Wookey Hole with only my now wife, me, and our kids being there, so having a nice hotel was a priority for us The hotel allowed us early room access so my partner and daughter could get ready for the wedding and with the beautician to do their makeup We had two family rooms which were high standard with everything we could have wanted We then got married and returned to the hotel for our after wedding meal. The food was amazing. Huge tasty portions Rooms were really comfortable, and breakfast was great with the hotel catering for all of our kids requests Can’t recommend this hotel enough

A very pleasant place for family time and relaxation. place, food, service. I would especially like to emphasize that the Mr. Prashanr ,takes his work responsibly, he is a very pleasant and kind worker. I definitely recommend visiting this place

Stopped overnight with a friend for a shopping trip to Clarks Village. Beautiful location with amazing scenery. Everything was first class from the rooms to the staff, who were superb. Nothing was too much for them. Would recommend 110%. Definitely 5 star service.
