Leopard Mountain Safari Lodge

Coming back to Leopard Mountain Lodge was the best decision. I've been to many lodges but Leopard mountain realy is a gem. From our gamedrives wirh Shaun ( who despite the rain managed to teach us things we have not been told on other game drives) to service, from ambience and loving welcome to being pampered and spoilt with drinks, yummy food, perfect attention to food allergies and specific wishes...it is a real treat and just what the doctor prescribed. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and equipped with all you could wish for, the most beautiful room scent spray, realy nice shampoo, conditioner, shower gel...perfect. Tons of super large towels and bath gowns that even fitted me( ha ha...) The warm towels to refresh us on arrival and after the game drives just showed aswell that the management thinks of every detail. The curio shop is equipped with beautiful items, games and books were also available. The attention and cleanliness of the table settings were first class, good wines and the service staff never missed the slightest wis we might have. Definitely coming back soon.

Where do I begin. We celebrated the last part of our honeymoon at Leopard Mountain and Melissa and the team pulled out all the stops. Private dinners, champagne, love hearts - all without asking. This just epitomises how the staff at Leopard Mountain treat their guests. They get to know you and care so much about your experience. We actually were not meant to stay at Leopard mountain but when unsatisfied at our previous accommodation they accommodated immediately and helped resurrect our trip. The rooms are sublime. The photos speak for themselves. Very modern, clean, huge bed, and we had Nyalas and Impalas drinking out of our private hot tub every day. The food was exquisite. Picnic lunches (and even special barbecues in the reserve amongst the wildlife) and high tea, as well as a beautiful breakfast spread and 3 course dinner. Whilst the menus are set for lunch and dinner, they are very accommodating with any alterations you would like. Perfection. Plus the evening dinners are under the starts by the fire. The drives are the highlight. Day and night the guides (we had Sean) use their expert knowledge to answer any of your questions and show you the highlights of the reserve. Anyone who says that this reserve doesn’t have the big 5 is simply not telling the truth. They do - and much much more. We stayed for 8 game drive and very rarely did we even drive the same road. Again, reviews saying the lodge doesn’t off road are again factually incorrect. If there is a visual / sighting, the drivers will off road for a better view. Plus most roads in the reserve feel off road. Another point is that they do not have a cut off length for drives. If you see something cool, then that is more important than getting back to the lodge. The communal areas are the perfect place to relax and take in the wildlife that walks into the lodge. I cannot praise Leopard mountain enough. You made this trip so special and for that I am forever thankful. Until next time. Sophie.

One of the best Lodges in SA, if not the best, we have ever been. Very nice ambience, spectacular view and very professional staff with great service all the time, but unobtrusive at the same time. Great food and wine list, taking care of each individual wish. The game drives are spectacular in a very pictures landscape with very good game spots and very professional guiding. Special surprises my appear on the game drive ….

Beautiful lodge, elegant and cozy. Stunning views. Excellent and very profesional staff and trackers. We wished we had more time to spend there and would love to go back sometime. The encounters with wildlife were amazing. Highly recommended!

Everything was great from the time we got there until we left. Food was excellent. Made to order. Best fish I have had in a long time. Vehicle for game drive was very comfortable, ranger was excellent. I would have appreciated more insight with regard to birds. Otherwise excellent. Accommodation had to right ambience,comfort and luxury

Leopard Mountain Safari lodge is a lovely place to rest, eat and see wildlife from wrap around balcony. The dinner in the evening in the boma was delicious. Best lamb I have ever had. Our room was beautiful with all amenities, including coffee, wine and night cap. Loved sitting outside on our private deck and jump in the plunge pool. It was an haven in the middle of the wilderness. The safaris in late afternoon and early morning were the highlights for me. At the end of the drive we had drinks and snacks on top of a hill in the evening and coffee after the morning drive. It was wonderful to sip something nice at dusk in the middle of the park. I would love to go back one day!
