Melheim Beach Kalpitiya

位置不錯，就在沙灘旁邊，很安靜，離小鎮有幾公里路，需要打小車，來回20元左右。酒店泳池有小蟲子，餐廳飯味道一般。入住沒有檢查熱水，半夜洗澡沒熱水，酒店前前後後找不到服務人員。。。第二天早上才看到人！不過服務員態度挺好，酒店比較乾淨，老闆人不錯。

I stayed one night here and really happy with the hotel. Only 6 rooms so make it like private, nice and spacious room with ocean views. Staff is really friendly and helpful. I also have dinner and breakfast here as well. For me overall is great experience

MELHEIM BEACH by itself is a very nice small place, only six spacious rooms in twin Bungalows, well designed (though not soundproof at all as advertised), well kept right on the beach. The sea was rough during our visit not inviting to take a bath. Unfortunately there are some drawbacks which might spoil your stay. Right in front of the hotel entrance stands a huge wind turbine which creates a certain kind of sound level that can be disturbing. The big coal power plant Norochcholai is only about 500m away to the north and the beach outside the hotel premises is pretty dirty. Maybe the cause for a lot of flies annoying you when you sit on the verandah outside your room watching the sunset. Unforgettable however –in a positive way- is the boat trip (well organized by the hotel) to go dolphin watching. Not to forget either: the food offered by the restaurant (we were on half board): delicious and presented with a lot of love to details. The maybe most outstanding asset of Melheim is NISAL. He is bellboy, Room Service, waiter serving the food in the restaurant, all in one person: an amazing guy !!!

Located about 13km from the Palaviya turn off on the road to Puttalam, about half a km from the Norocholai Coal Power Station. The whole area is also dotted with wind turbine towers. The beach is clean in front of the resort, but not the other areas which are lined up with fishing boats where one can watch the untangling of fish, crabs and lobsters from the nets, and their sale to travelling fish-vendors. The resort consists of 6 cabanas, all facing the sea. Overall the property looked drab without color or pictures to adorn the walls. The set meals were good and the overall service excellent, with Ananda taking the lead. The floors of the cabanas tended to be a bit slippery (perhaps due to over-polishing), the lighting wasn't enough for reading. A hand-rail by the commode would be helpful for elderly guests to cling onto when sitting and rising. Only bath towels were provided, and not face towels.

The hotel had a great pool and the beach is so close to the hotel and the food so tasty Every one is kid they have cool artifacts and the rooms are so nice they have a mini fridge a tv an air conditioner tasty food a big pool one pool is 4feat and the other one is 3feat

.Beautiful and peaceful place the food was excellent the rooms were fantastic. The most relaxing place to be private beach,with beautiful palm trees ,Amazing place to watch the sunset, The staff was great specially Ananda who was so helpful and pleasing always with a smile everyone was so courteous. It's definitely a place to relax everyone of us had a good time and enjoyed our stay.
