My time at Moiwa Lodge couldn’t have been any better. I spent two and a bit weeks here with 8 of my friends and we had the absolute best time. Things I really liked: - The staff were incredible. Clara, Evie and Shannon made our time here at Moiwa so special. Answering any questions we had, giving us all the hottest tips. They always greeted us with warm smiles and approachability. They run the smoothest lodge and always with a warm smile. We were lucky to get to shred for a day with these legends and wish them well on their next travelling adventures. - If you want quiet you could seek peace on one of the four levels. From couches, to bar, to an upstairs dining room with pool table over looking the Moiwa ski field. - If you want to party a little, the rooms are pretty sound proof, crank a few tunes and dance around ya room then head to the bar to finish off the good time. The Plum wine is a must try! We loved the availability of two guitars and often found ourselves jamming out with many other guests also enjoying the sing alongs. - The facilities were awesome. I loved being able to have hot delicious coffee with bacon and eggs each morning before riding the slopes and getting on the free bus to Annupuri to use our all mountain pass. The cat track back to Moiwa Lodge from all the other mountains was not just easy to find but also STUNNING. Alternatively just step out the front door to ride the ever so quiet resort at Moiwa. - The drying room at Moiwa lodge actually works so so well - guaranteed dry things each morning was great, plus the access to a free washing machine and dryer made our longer stay so easy! Showers were hot hot hot with high water pressure and a warm room to get changed into - Three quiet, amazing onsens all within a 15 minute walk from Moiwa, if you go you must try them all. I loved being able to soak in the onsen, dip in the cold pool and then hit the sauna to prepare myself for the next day of deep deep powder. - Beds were comfortable with the most lush doonas to keep you warm and dorm beds included curtains for privacy, which as I woman I appreciated. Each bed also comes with personal lights and power points to charge all the things. - The restaurant upstairs served delicious meals most nights and when you couldn’t eat in, Moiwa Lodge would provide a free return bus to the Hirafu region so you could soak up the main hub if you wanted to. - However if you were on more of a budget like me I could get some noodles or pre cooked meals from the hotel down the road and used the complimentary kettle, microwave or microwave oven. - Did I mention free tea, coffee and hot chocolate?? They even provide almond milk, if you’re that way inclined. - Day tour to Ruzutzu is highly highly recommended. If you’re seeking deep pow all day and tree runs, this place is for you! Was by far one of our best days and the ease of booking it through Moiwa was amazing. Transport, lift tickets, staff to ride with plus the warm home cook
