Furrows Lodge

Small village, but the visit to the Owl House, dinosaur museum and riverbed are the main attractions. The accommodation itself was excellent (the typical SA load shedding fortunately still absent ;-) Therefore, the chalet was nice and warm (with aircon and/or wall mounted heater made it nice and cozy). All the amenities as advertised were there, as well as "real" ground coffee and plunger (French Press).

The views over the trees are beautiful and serene and the rooms and kitchenette are very well equip. Your host Althea is friendly, kind and helpful. It is refreshing to enjoy your morning coffee on the patio.

My husband and I were on our way down to Plettenburg Bay. We stayed at Furrows Lodge for one evening. We found the accommodation beautifully decorated and very cozy and comfortable. Althea was amazing. We will definitely return at some stage.

The unit was very well equipped as a self catering unit, very comfortable and clean. The decor is immaculate and very posh more like a 5 Star Hotel room. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, always prepared to support with queries and advise on nice places to visit. Great conversations over good coffee and wine was held in the most beautiful garden more like an oasis in the Karoo. Cannot wait to visit again, Althea and Hubby are fantastic hosts.

Exceptional place to stay. Rooms very beautiful. Linen very clean and of high quality. Feels like home. One of the best places we stay in the past 10 years. Host Althea and husband Aubrey are very helpful and friendly. Althea thanks again for my mother's birthday present.
