Hôtel du Couvent, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nice, France

法國遊比較滿意的酒店。畢竟法國人大部分的服務都還是比較拉胯的。這家新開的就還比較不錯。雖然花園很多地方在休整.但是總體還不錯 ，環境鬧中取靜。不過房間衣櫃有黴味，設施不夠先進，吹風機難用。

酒店就在尼斯老城裡麪，逛老城很方便。 早餐要快50歐一個人，比較貴。如果不買酒店早餐也可以到尼斯老城裡找餐廳吃，一般外面餐廳早餐在15歐左右。 酒店比較素雅，整體符合5星水平。

修道院改建，很有格調，洗護用品也很不錯，床品很舒服，毛巾很柔軟很新，服務很好。就是在山上，出行不想走路的話酒店的buggy可以接送。山頂的游泳池可以俯瞰老城和海景。酒店服務人員態度温和友好。總之整體很喜歡！

We loved this hotel! They upgraded our room when we checked in which was such a nice surprise! The staff could not have been nicer. Even though the ambience of the hotel is simple and sparse, we could have done with a dresser in our room, there was not a lot of storage for 2 people for 5 nights, which meant we lived out of the suitcases. We loved the Roman baths and used it every day, that being said I do think it’s a law suite waiting to happen, I saw more than one person slip even while wearing the provided slippers, I’m not sure what can be done about the floor but something should be.

This is a beautiful luxury hotel in newly restored buildings that used to be a convent. It's right next to "Castle" park, sitting atop a hilly street that you can walk for just a few short blocks to end up at various cafes and markets of old town Nice. The staff, the rooms, the service and spa of the hotel are all 5-star. The only "warning" (for senior travelers in particular) is that most taxis and private drivers will not take you into the pedestrian area where the hotel is located -- so you have to talk to hotel reception first, find out where to have your airport or other driver drop you off, and then call reception for their staff to pick you up in a golf cart. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to get the golf cart rides up or down the hill so you can explore the rest of Nice.

The Hotel, in many ways, re-imagines the concept of a Luxury Hotel. It is luxurious not opulent, designed not “designer” and offers distinctive F&B outlets with an obvious attention to detail throughout: even reflected in the staff uniforms that are clearly bespoke that echo the property’s ecclesiastical heritage. Further the surprising and large areas of non-revenue earning space – cultural, gardens, leisure – invite you to curate your own experience at the hotel. This space allows you find peace and quiet, join culture activities or active leisure - magic. The genuine hospitality and professionalism of Isabelle on arrival on reception and daily contact with Pauline are exemplary. It takes courage to accept the risk and develop such a concept but genius to co-deliver the experience. My wife and I stayed for a week and have a few minor reservations but, thank you for re-wiring our expectations of a luxury hotel and delivering a memorable experience.

When you first enter the Hotel du Couvent you feel like you have been transported to another world. There is a very large courtyard that contains the reception area, multiple sitting areas and the hotel's main restaurant. The feeling is one of peace and serenity which is especially impressive since the hotel is located in the heart of the old city which can be crowded and noisy. The location is an asset though since the streets of the old city are right outside the hotel's entrance and you definitely want to walk around the old city when you visit Nice. We were upgraded to a room the hotel calls "the long suite" which, in my opinion, is a very weird room. It is approximately 9 feet wide by 70 feet long. There is a dressing area at one end of the room and the sleeping area is at the opposite end of the room so not really a very practical design. In between there is a bath "room", dining area and sitting area but there are no doors in between any of the spaces so you can't really call them rooms. The bed was the hardest we slept on among any of the four hotels we stayed at on this trip. In terms of the "luxury" designation, there are some very nice touches here, such as high end toiletries that are provided in the rooms, and the quality of the breakfast that is served each morning. On the other hand, the hard beds and somewhat spartan furnishings of the rooms detracts from this. I'm sure some people will like the hotel, and I agree it is very good, just not quite on the level I would call luxury.
