A must when you come to Raro - a visit to BJs Bar for happy hours 4-6pm, followed by Tasty Tapas. Lovely view and atmosphere, beautiful staff looking after you from start to finish. So good we returned the very next night. You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I booked a couples massage. With 5 blends of oils available, we could choose between relaxing to invigorating and everything in between. Febry, my masseuse, had magic hands, finding my knots and giving them a good workout. While we didn't stay at the resort, it looked gorgeous, and we'd definitely consider staying here on another trip to Rarotonga.

We were at first disappointed that we were unable to find a spot on Muri beach a popular spot on the island due to the beautiful beaches. But once we checked into Ocean Escape we were glad to be here! The property is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and there were no crowds! This adult only boutique hotel has 14 rooms. Often times were the only ones on the beach or at the pool. The beach is a bit rocky and the waves break about 50 yards from shore but the waves are magnificent to watch. We saw whales breaching right off the breaks. The shore abounds with shells and coral. The sunrises were breathtaking! The staff were all very friendly. Elaine is at the front desk and can arrange just about anything for you! She helped change a flight for us and even mailed my postcards on her way to town! She is fabulous! Poko the bartender at the hotels Topas lounge is fun and charming and makes the yummiest drinks. A true mixologist! I definitely recommend this hotel if you’re planning a stay on Rarotonga.

Such a well thought out boutique resort. We were so pleasantly surprised with all of the little touch points. The rooms are literally 10/10. Everything we could think of needing, and maximised every little inch of space. •Walk out to your own sun lounger and access to the pool. •If you feel like it lift the lid of your table beside your sun lounger and fill it with ice and drinks. •Big cabana with help yourself library •4pm stroll up stairs to BJ’s for happy hour cocktails (best we’ve had in Raro) •6pm order some Tapas •8pm go where the night takes you… Morning, sunrise and if you are lucky with passing whales… Oh, and friendly service with genuine care for your stay. Day 1, we had wine by the pool, made a cheese board and a sneaky treat of Whittaker’s chocolate all from our room supplies. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✅✅✅✅✅ 10/10

We had a wonderful six night stay here. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was a good size, clean and well equipped. The bedroom was up a narrow staircase which may be an issue for elderly or others not comfortable with stairs. Location was fine with a short drive to Muri area (or bus). A general store across the road had plenty of choice for additional supplies. The supplied breakfast food and drinks were plentiful and sufficient for three days (replenished every three days). Fantastic pool area and plenty of deck chairs etc to sit around and enjoy the pool area or the sea views (including whales!!). On site tapas bar produced very nice and good quantity food at a reasonable price. Nice cocktails and friendly informative staff. Highly recommended for a peaceful break and battery re-charge.

Brilliant place to stay.The Villas are fitted out to an exceptionally high standard and have all mod cons.Ocean Escape has lovely owners and brilliant staff(Elaine at reception was excellent).The Newly opened tapas bar served lovely small plate dishes and all of this while watching whales from the open windows. Overall exceptional.
