A highly recommended gem of a hotel. Fabulous location on the foot of the Wicklow mountains, close to the Sugar Loaf mountain, Glendalough, Powerscourt Waterfall, Ireland hugest pub and the beaches of the east coast. Stayed for two nights recently, upon arrival we were met by a very friendly and helpful guy Jude at reception who couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home from the moment we set foot inside the main door. Our room was amazing, spacious, clean, and very comfortable with thermostat regulated AC heating. We were there celebrating our wedding anniversary, when we got to our room on both days we were met by a really nice surprise waiting on the table for us. After arrival on the first day we went to the bar for a bite of lunch where we were once again made to feel like royalty. It was so refreshing to experience staff who genuinely cared for their guests and wanted nothing but the best for them. I have yet to visit a hospitality sector establishment in Ireland where the staff are so attentive to their customers needs. Other customer focused businesses could learn a thing or two by paying Glenview a visit. We went to the Woodlands restaurant for dinner on the second night and once again the service was amazing, the food throughout our stay was second to none and I have to give the Chefs credit for the lamb curry. It was an actual proper Indian curry not an Irish restaurant”s version of an Indian curry…bravo chefs! They had music entertainment on both nights in the bar, the guy on the second night put on a hell of an entertainment show with his saxophone, flute and thin whistle. A very entertaining night with something for all ages. Overall I would recommend a stay at the Glenview hotel to anyone who cared to listen. Already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to all the staff and management for making us feel so welcome and sharing in our wedding anniversary celebration.

The hotel has good management which makes your stay go as planned and the only thing I would have to say that when we went for breakfast first morning the cooked breakfast was served before we were able to finish fruit etc from the buffet. The dinner in the Woodland Restaurant was amazing.

I stayed for four nights with husband and teenage daughters. On checkin we took the offer of an upgrade from standard to superior rooms and were blown away by standard of room so was definitely worth it. Jude at reception was so kind and helpful. We were on a DBB package and food in Woodlands restaurant was excellent however we ate two nights the bar and have to say the food was just as good with professional service. Really like the cooked to order breakfast rather than the hot buffet, portions were generous. Wish more hotels offered this as not everyone likes a cooked breakfast. Communal areas well kept, adult swim time in pool appreciated and gym was ok. We did some walking in area and was so beautiful, highly recommend the waterfall a short drive away . We left relaxed and eager to return. Excellent stay.

WARNING It’s not what it says on the tin, or at least, it’s not what it says on the website! I booked a 2night stay with breakfast and dinner package. Highlighted at the top of the booking screen there was a message stating “Dinner included for all nights” but when we arrived the receptionist said that only one dinner was included as was shown in the small print on the booking confirmation. He was totally disinterested in the screen shot I had taken showing the message but offered to get his manager to speak with me. She told me that the message “Dinner included for all nights” was a mistake and that we had only one dinner included. Rather than offering anything to immediately resolve the issue, she said she would be in touch with an offer for our next visit! Our room was adequately furnished (no usb charging ports available (and none at reception either), by the way) but could have done with a little tlc (replace the torn curtains, for instance?). On the plus side, the restaurant staff were really friendly and very helpful and the food was excellent. The freshly prepared breakfasts are definitely worth waiting for!

Went here for a drink. Nice hotel but bar service terrible. Staff totally disinterested. Standing around talking among themselves. More staff then customers and they still dont serve in a timely manner. Very disappointing.. We were wstching something on their TV and they switched it off
