Premier Inn Glasgow Newton Mearns (M77 J4)

The hotel looks good and spacious. The service is unbelievable WORST. The room is siuated on the gf and next to their extension construction site. Every morning the workers start construction before 9am. The front desk doesn't tells or ask you about it.

The room was clean & the staff friendly. However, the toilet roll holder was loose and span arround like a windmill. When my wife went to switch on the bedside wall lamp, the button dissappear into the light housing. The room was roasting and humid. The Room welcome pack was incorrect and missleading on how to use the room heating/aircon system. I had a dreadful nights sleep. In the morning there was steam around the window and puddles of water on the window ledge. Apparently it's down to you to read the online information on the heating/aircon system when you book your room. The Fire alarm repeatedly went off around 5pm on evacuating we met folk walking back to their rooms because reception had told them it was ok. When the fire alarm eventually stayed on folk started to leave the building to wait for the fire brigade to arrive and check that it was safe to return inside. I contacted the Guest Relation team to highlight these issues. Do not expect much, in fact, don't expect anything.

this hotel is litterally half built and like a building site. When i booked this there was no mention of building works, we have paid for breakfast and the restaurant was not in use either because of building works. There is a shopping centre close by for food etc. Annoyed with premier inn as i wouldn't have booked this hotel if i knew if were a building site with no restaurant..
