Premier Inn Isle Of Wight (Newport)

Staying on the Island for a family meet up, this hotel was in a great location, lovely reception team, very welcoming from the reception team and the restaurant next door, nice breakfast, room was clean and what a comfortable bed. Thank you for a great stay.

Great hotel and Beefeater really enjoyed our long weekend visit. A big shoutout to Sharon in the Beefeater a lovely personality and an asset to the team, who we found to be very friendly and informative.All the staff we found to be helpful except a lady at breakfast who was not as engaging and rather rude.

Great staff, Great Location. This has to be the best Premier Inn I have stayed in and I use them all the time. The hotel was clean, parking free and load of spaces available. The staff couldn't have been friendly. nothing was to much trouble. would recommend this hotel, Great Premier Inn!!!

The heat in this hotel was just unbearable. As soon as you walk through the door it hits you. You can’t sleep. You can’t get ready without sweating it’s just too much. Air con needs to be installed.

PLEASE READ REVIEWS AHEAD OF BOOKING WITH THIS HOTEL IN SUMMER!!!! I really wish I'd read the reviews before we went, lovely hotel, nicely situated, staff very friendly and tried to be helpful with most requests, but oh my god at night it felt like the heating was on (it wasn't) like a sauna more like hell itself it felt that hot, sweating so much your dripping constantly, one fan for the whole room its not enough, we asked for another we didn't get it sadly the heat affected my asthma, you couldn't get cool not even by using the cold taps, it kept us awake for hours, not nice at all, the beds were comfy except my sons he didn't get a mattress so we gave him all the duvets off the other beds plus extra pillows, won't stay there in summer again wifi was rubbish but they did say they were having issues, it does say no air con online before you book it they should also warn you that it's hot in the rooms, wish they would add the air con because it would make anyone's stay so much more pleasurable, didn't mind walking into town it's a pleasant one.

Do not stay here in the summer! No air con and it is like sleeping in a greenhouse in the middle of a desert! Or should I say not sleeping!! Unable to breathe in the room, no air whatsoever, even propped the door open to the corridor made no difference. I am sure it is lovely in the winter!! This is clearly not a new issue, clearly a common complaint as the poor lad on reception explained the reasons why, he was very understanding. All of the money premier inns make I am sure they could afford to put in some air con if they bothered to read any of the reviews!!

Room was far too hot and sleep impossible. Location was good. I accept no aircon but hotel and room were hot and uncomfortable. Had to buy another fan and small aircon unit. Hot water came out of cold taps! Staff knew this was an issue and just said it was always like that in the summer. Really poor on an island full of hotels!

We use PI hotels a lot for UK stays. The newport hotel is the nicest we have stayed in so far. A big thank you to Liam for meeting my room request with allocation of suitable room overlooking the river, and kudos for keeping calm with difficult people in the hot and stuffy reception. We thoroughly enjoyed looking out at the river and watching the wildlife and boats. Our room was clean and the usual comfort standards were met. The Beefeater next door was also the nicest pub restaurant we have experienced in the past few years. The layout is comfortable, nice clientele and the food was so very good. All of the staff were speedy, friendly and helpful. We have to give a special mention to Bailey the barman. Super quick and friendly service and very presentable. We had a memorable stay for all the right reasons.
