Hotel Shocard Broadway, Times Square anmeldelser

During my recent stay at this hotel we were told that we were receiving our incidental back at the end of the stay, the night before a check out we were told by a different employee that that was not the case and that they will be up charging me. The reason being “people do not normally stay all four days that they book“, not only does that not make any sense but they’re basically telling me because I stayed all the days… That I paid for… That they were gonna be up charging me. And then they hit me with read the fine print BS. They told me that they would contact the employee and speak to him about him telling me the wrong information. They knocked off two days only out of the money they told me I’ll be receiving back as a “courtesy”… ISSUES WITH THE ROOM -The refrigerated barely worked, ice cream melted, nothing stayed cold -The hot water took at least a half hour to get hot maybe 25 minutes the least. -One of the employees had a nasty attitude at the front desk, unless she was in front of other guest who were not of “ethnic groups” -The air conditioner is just that an air conditioner it blows smelly air as if something crawled in it and died in the window, and that’s not even a window there’s no fresh air blowing in. -It’s freezing at night in the room

The courtesy of staff was the differential! It’s my second time staying at Schocard (1st was 5yrs ago). At this stay, in the 1st moment I was in a room very very small, without windown and noisy. After 2 nights requesting to be change, the front desk, specially Carolina and Cliff, were very niecely with me and changed to a better room, with more space and view to the street. For me, the location is the best or Manhattan, close by the main subway station (42nd), which is possible to connect to any subway line. The room’s furniture needs a makeover, but its not a big deal to prevent the stay. My special thanks to the employees, who made my stay very comfy.

Cliff greeted us so warmly! A fabulous way to start our trip. The location is in the middle of the all the action so it was super easy to get to all the different neighborhoods. It's near grand central station and all the Broadway theaters. The pub in the lobby also had really great live music and super friendly bartenders!

Cliff was fantastic and very welcoming for our stay near Times Square. The location is in a very bustling area and very near to entertainment, dining, and major transportation hubs. The hotel lobby is also attached to an Irish bar/restaurant.

This has got to be the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in, and by some considerable margin. You enter thru the Irish pub next door. The room was noisy, which we initially thought was the aircon, but when we switched it off the noise was still there. Turns out it’s the industrial fans outside the window from the fast food joint(s) next door. And the smell of fries was pervasive. Room was small and dirty. Our mistake here but one we won’t make again and if you have a choice run a mile from this place. No redeeming factors.

cliff is the greatest! awesome customer service. this spot is close to everything that you need. i was able to walk to time square and the macys thanksgiving day parade. every time i saw cliff he was always welcoming and informative. definitely returning!

This was a great experience to have because Cliff accommodated to the best of his ability to help us with our room. It was our first time here and he even gave us recommendations to check out around Times Square. I would definitely book here again!

Great experience! Went for thanksgiving and my room had a small chilled pumpkin pie and I got a drink voucher for the bar downstairs. Cliff was awesome at check in and afterwards- he was super friendly and gave me directions and recommendations to get a phone charger. He made the experience much better. I will be back!

A small hotel, located close to Times Square. The entrance is also the entrance to an Irish pub that takes up the entire floor. They have food, drinks and live music. With that comes a big problem for guests at the second floor. The noise was unbearable but luckily the staff changed our room to the 6th floor the next day. The new room was good, but also had a REALLY loud buzzing noise. We though it came from the AC, but no. As it turns out, the building next door has a huge ventilation system that is super loud 24/7. After two sleepless nights we were getting upset, but the staff was very friendly and moved us again. This time to the front of the hotel. The new room was perfect. Location was amazing for exploring Manhattan. Walking distance to all the touristy stuff. Very friendly staff. This hotel would have got a better score if it had not been for the issues with the two first rooms, but the staff was very friendly and helped us change. Especially Isiah was extremely helpful, skilled and service minded. If you get the right room, this hotel is great

Cliff at the front desk was really nice and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked through the door. I would highly recommend this place to stay for the kind people who work here. It's also a clean and nice looking hotel with constant 24/7 service

Check in was a breeze, Cliff at the front desk was very helpful in making sure my stay was the best that it can be. He was accommodating and greeted us whenever we walked by. The room was as expected, and the location is great. The WiFi password was wrong on the placard in the room but a quick call to the front desk and Cliff was able to sorted it out. Overall, our stay was enjoyable.

Would highly recommend the Hotel Shocard for anyone’s next stay in NYC! A convenient, clean and beautifully designed place! Was greeted by the amazing Cliff who helped us to our rooms and gave recommendations for our stay! Thank you Cliff!!!

After a big travel day we were kindly greeted by Cliff at the front desk. Cliff made the check-in process so seamless and easy! He was super caring and helpful with all aspects of the check-in process. He also provided us with many recommendations and dinners for our trip. So far he has gone above and beyond to make sure we have the best time here in New York. Room is super clean and comfortable! Definitely recommend

What a great place to stay! A very nice room (small, but certainly not too small) with a good bathroom and comfortable bed. Yes, the window didn't offer a perfect view, but hey, when you turn the corner, you're right on Times Square! Very nice staff, Alonzo helped us with a power plug, directions and luggage. Also the fresh bottles of water every day were highly appreciated!
