More like a dorm room. Bed…tv… bathroom. That’s it. No closets. 2 bare towels. Small vial of body wash. One chair at a small desk. We had to ask for a paper cup in the bathroom. Bed is comfy and clean so it serves the purpose and the price was reasonable. Can’t really complain.

The location is excellent for exploring the city, both on foot and by metro, with several lines nearby. The hotel has a small reception and charges a fee for storing luggage after check-out. There is no lobby or breakfast room, but just above, there’s the Monarch rooftop bar, which is a fantastic spot for an evening drink. The price is reasonable, and our room was quite spacious, with a stunning view of the Empire State Building—a real highlight! A special mention to the friendly and accommodating staff, who went out of their way to fulfil a request I had made a few days before arrival. I was truly impressed by their service.

Terrible Experience - Avoid This Hotel! Our stay at this hotel was an absolute disaster. We were given a room with a sofa bed, but the bed was completely broken and unusable. To make matters worse, the sofa bed was provided without any sheets, blankets, or pillows. When we complained to the reception, they simply handed us the bedding and told us to set it up ourselves—an absolute disgrace for any hotel. As a result, one of us had to sleep on the mattress on the floor, which was even worse. The mattress had protruding metal wires that ended up cutting the person who slept on it. To top it all off, when we complained to the reception staff, they provided us with the manager’s email to address our concerns. However, the manager was completely unresponsive and unavailable to assist us. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. I strongly recommend avoiding this place if you value your comfort and safety.

I actually cancelled this hotel due to hearing bad reviews. Over 40 days since cancellation and I still have no refund. I have emailed numerous times and have had no reply at all to any of my emails. I am highly disappointed and would appreciate if someone can please contact me to arrange my refund. I fly out in 4 weeks and need this money back to book a new hotel! Glad I'm not staying if this is the service on cancelling!

I understand that this hotel is very cheap and offers an amazing location in the heart of Midtown, but there were some serious issues during my stay. We booked a room for three adults, but when we arrived, the room wasn’t ready—no blankets, no pillows, no linen at all. The third bed was a terrible sofa bed, the kind you might find in a student apartment. It was a nightmare for the third person, and we had to take turns sleeping there. By the end of the stay, one of us was experiencing back pain. The cleanliness of the room was also disappointing. When we entered, we found a half-eaten apple from previous guests under the bed. Additionally, the quality of room service varied greatly depending on which employee was cleaning. Some days, the room wasn’t serviced at all. On the last day, my flight was 12 hours after checkout. I left my luggage at the hotel and went for a walk around Manhattan. When I returned at 6 PM to pick up my luggage, I politely asked to use the restroom. The receptionist informed me that there was no restroom available, which from a human perspective, was completely unacceptable. If you're on a tight budget, you can stay here because there are beds and you can sleep. However, keep your expectations very low, or you’ll be disappointed.

We booked this hotel based on the positive review on TripAdvisor. The position is really great since it is a walking distance far from the main attractions of NYC (Time Square, Bryant park, Empire State Building etc). The hotel itself is rather old and the price is definitely too high for the poor service. Only 1 elevator was working and 2 rooms out of 3 were ready at check is (7:00 pm). No closet, no heating, dirty floor... At the same price look for something different!
