Le Richelieu in the French Quarter

The street noise was a little to loud and the rooma need some art. Other than that it was amazing...

Good points are comfortable bed, location excellent in French Quarter and staff are pleasant. Many small issues which added up to a stay which could have been much better. Room walls are paper thin, and we had an adjoining door, literally could hear people in next room talking. Outside noise throughout the night also resulted in limited sleep. How difficult is it to clean balcony and outside chairs? Was not done before arrival or at any time during stay. We had a nice balcony but everything on it was dirty, including the windows leading onto it. Simple to have it cleaned and possibly some cushions to use on chairs? No water in room but could be picked up at reception. Lounge 'closed for renovations'. Many reviews here stated how good cocktails were and the atmosphere. No sign of any work being done and looked like it was just closed. Would have been good to be informed of this on booking. Finally, lost one day of our stay because of a missed flight connection in London. However still charged full amount even though we did not stay on first night. Could be so much better but would not recommend, Too many other nice places to stay.

Pros: Fantastic location, quieter street, beautiful hotel, excellent staff, gorgeous pool, balcony is nice, good morning coffee, comfortable bed and pillows, an extender on the outlets so you can charge all your electronics, pretty shower Cons: walls are thin so you can hear most everything, balcony is shared with 15 other rooms, gaps in doors, shampoo and conditioner were oddly not good, and we could never get the tv to do more than turn on. Overall I liked the hotel. Very good and quiet for the French Quarter, close to Jackson Square and the river, easy for an Uber to get to, and there were some historic elements to it ( like the parking lot was used for execution of soldiers) that made it unique. I would stay here again but I would not get the upgrade to the balcony room, and I would bring my own hair products.

Loved staying in this boutique hotel in French Quarter .. It was everything I thought it would be such a lovely experience

The hotel was nice and clean. We were very disappointed that the lounge wasn't open during our stay as it was one of the reasons we selected this hotel. The pool, however, was phenomenal. The parking is way too expensive - $45.00 per night. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but okay.

Rooms were clean and updated with turn down service and fresh towels daily. The building has character, the pool was quiet and relaxing. Great location. Could use full length mirrors, coffee station and maybe a breakfast option to put it over the top. Would definitely stay here again!

Was a great place to stay during a quick long weekend getaway to explore this fable city. Was close to everything exciting while still bringing in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. The service was always very friendly and helpful too :)

Set just far enough away from the madding crowds of Bourbon Street, Le Richelieu is a charming old building in a terrific location. Its location means there is very little noise from passing crowds, yet it is extremely close to walk to the centre of Bourbon St, or to the much quieter Frenchmens Street for jazz music fans. Five minutes walk to either hotspot. There is a lift to the higher Floors which is appreciated, and our room on the 4th floor was clean, large and comfortable. Very nice. I lovely swimming pool is very much a surprise and a fantastic addition to this property, to relax with a drink after a long hot day exploring - to recharge before heading out again at night. The only negative aspect is a minor one - our room was not made up on one of our days. Not a deal breaker but a touch disappointing - otherwise a brilliant stay. Staff charming and helpful.

Fantastic experience. Friendly staff, clean hotel, magnificent bar and pool! Located a few steps from Frenchman St. with many bars and live music. And just a short walking distance from all the live activity in Bourbon St. Could not have asked for a better experience!
