Ibis Styles Lille Neuville en Ferrain

Nicely decorated and comfortable rooms with good outdoor space, but quite a few niggles. Beware that the ‘total price’ quoted that includes ‘all taxes and fees’ does not in fact include tourist tax. Apparently it’s in the terms and conditions but I’ve never encountered this in my many years of staying at Ibis Styles. The room keys didn’t work properly and we were given 2 interconnecting double rooms for our family instead of a double and twin. The staff tried to help but the alternative was a separate room down the corridor which wasn’t ideal for us. We would have happily overlooked this if it hadn’t been for the surprise tax which just added insult to injury.

This was a family trip and decided to book this hotel in order to have a good night of sleep. Unfortunately, things didn't go well at all as described below: @ 5.30am - while we were sleep with my family, we have been waken up by two mens who entered our room. This is a huge safety concern especially that there was my young child and my wife sleeping in the room!!! Thanks god, nothing happened. They were as surprised as us to see that they have been given access to the same room. This is not acceptable for safety concerns and also because we were supposed to get some rest at this hotel ( Wife couldn't sleep anymore after this event). This issue was reported to the management to get some explanation however they decided to ignore this complaint. Two months has passed there has unfortunately been no response from this hotel about this matter. I kept all evidence of the emails sent in case someone claims in false review. My recommendation is to avoid this Hotel. Thanks IBIS and Group Accor.

Also when raising this issue with the reception, they just said that they were going to report but didn't recorded it in front of us. 2/ I also asked for a printed invoice but couldn't get it as their printer was not working.

It was a perfectly fine hotel close to our French office at a reasonable price. The in-house restaurant was quite good, and the staff were very friendly. I slept very comfortably too. The fitness room is sparse, and the breakfast buffet is fine, but nothing special. All in all and much like other Ibis Styles hotels, it is a good option if you appreciate value for money. I really liked the murals and artworks.
