Christima Residence

I travelled with my husband from Uk to meet his son who lives in New Zealand in Sri Lanka as a half way point. We had a two bedroom apartment for 8 days, which was very spacious and clean. Both rooms had mosquito nets over the bed and very efficient air- conditioning in the entire apartment. There was a very large en-suite bathroom to each room. It had everything you would need for a self catering holiday ,although we ate out . Chams and all his staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were able to arrange some amazing day trips through Chams. As our time in Sri Lanka was relatively short, one of the drivers, Dylan took us to places like Pinnwala elephant orphanage,Kandy on one day and Dambulla and Sigiriya a second day for a reasonable fee and stayed with us all day. This is an alternative to catching the train or bus. There was breakfast every morning of fresh fruit, tea , coffee, egg and sausage, toast and marmalade etc; The pool was very clean and we often had it to ourselves. Christima Residence is very close to many restaurants, bars and shops. Tuk, tuks are plentiful and easy to catch and are an ideal way to go a little further out. I would highly recommend Christima Residence as a place to stay, either for a few days as a stopover for touring the island or longer.

We decided on Christima residence for our first night in Sri Lanka as a base. After our 3 week backpacking we decided to return for our last night too. The staff are super friendly with great tips and ideas. The rooms are a great size with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was one of the cleanest and modern during our stay. To top it off the pool was very clean and perfect after a day's trip. The location is perfect for the beach and there is a fantastic Italian restaurant just 100metres down the street. All in all I would highly recommend Christima residence to anyone staying in Negombo.

I stayed at Christima Residence for 9 days and really enjoyed my time there. The pool and garden area is super nice to chill out and the rooms are clean and have everything you need. The owner, Charmara, is really helpful and always available if you have any questions and the ladies that work there are lovely too! If you’re in need of a good feed; I definitely recommend a short walk down the road to Paloma Restaurant. Thanks Charms, will see you again soon 😊

I’ve traveled a lot but never in my life I felt as welcomed as here. The host is great and can help travelers with literary everything, he really helped me to make my trip perfect and was always there ready to help me Rooms are great, clean and spacious and the pool is great too, highly recommended!

This is "The best place in negombo". Our favourite place to stay. Feels like home!! Wonderful host Mr. Chamara Fernando and his team are are always ready to serve you with utmost care and importance. Beautiful & fully equipped 2bedroom apartments & Rooms. Lovely step-in pool. Overall 10/10 Excellent place for foreigners!!! Thank you Chamara for yet another wonderful stay!!
