I really don't understand all these good reviews. The hotel is really old and shabby, some of the furniture is partly broken and the towels are disintegrating. The contrast between the photos and reality is just too vast. Cleanliness could be improved. There was dust on the floor, somewhat hidden areas like corners and gaps looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages and the table coverings were in urgent need of washing. Sound proofing was practically non-existent, you could hear people talking in the corridor very clearly and loudly which made sleeping difficult. In the evening, someone (I think the cleaning lady) just barged into my room even though I had locked the door, which was rather disturbing. At breakfast, the hotel clearly wasn't prepared for the number of guests as there weren't even enough seats and several dishes were already used up two minutes after breakfast started. Also, breakfast started half an hour later than announced at Trip.com, which is rather inconvenient if you want to catch an early bus. All in all, this hotel is way too expensive for what you get and I really can't recommend it. It is more of a shabby guesthouse, but comes at the price of an upscale hotel.
