I recently stayed at the Argyle Grand Hotel near Nairobi Airport for a short transit visit and overall found it to be a well-designed and welcoming property. From the moment we entered, the grand high-ceiling lobby left a strong first impression. The space is both elegant and vibrant, with a lively café that adds to the hotel’s energetic atmosphere. Although our stay was brief and we didn’t get to explore the entire property, a few key observations stood out: Room Comfort & Facilities The room was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a comfortable environment for rest. All essential amenities were available and thoughtfully arranged. However, one practical inconvenience was the design of the bedside power sockets. If you’re using a larger adapter—such as the standard Apple three-pin plug—you won’t be able to connect it properly due to the tight placement. A more flexible socket layout would greatly improve guest convenience. Room Service Pricing We attempted to order a glass of juice and were quite surprised by the pricing. The staff informed us that a single glass of juice costs KES 900, with an additional KES 1,000 delivery service charge—surpassing the cost of the item itself.As someone with over 18 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry, this was the first time I’ve encountered a hotel charging a room service delivery fee that exceeds the price of the item. This pricing structure felt unreasonable and could certainly benefit from greater transparency and guest-friendly adjustments. Reception & Staff The front desk team was highly active and professional. They ensured all guest details were carefully managed and provided helpful support throughout the stay. Their warm demeanor and attentiveness were much appreciated. Shuttle Service The hotel provides an airport shuttle service, which is a valuable and convenient offering. The driver was polite and extremely helpful. However, punctuality was an issue. We were informed that the shuttle would depart at 5:00 AM, and we arrived in the lobby 10 minutes early. Unfortunately, the shuttle left 15 minutes late because other guests were delayed. For an airport transfer, such delays can cause serious inconvenience—especially for guests with early flights. We recommend enforcing a maximum wait time of 5 minutes to ensure fairness and timeliness for all travelers. Noise Levels While the room was otherwise quiet and relaxing, there was noticeable music playing in the evening, which may disturb light sleepers. This is something to consider if you’re seeking an early night before a flight. Final Thoughts The Argyle Grand Hotel offers a visually stunning environment, comfortable accommodations, and excellent service from its staff. With a few adjustments in pricing policies and shuttle scheduling, it has the potential to deliver an outstanding guest experience. For those transiting through Nairobi Airport, it remains a solid and worthwhile option for a short stay.

As we missed our flight connection in Nairobi l found this Hotel on Trip.com as very close to the Airport. The price was very good, too.. Our flight next day was very late so we asked for the late check out.. Only $60 and we could stay until 8pm!! Nice swimming pool and bar area!

Perfect hotel very close to the airport with free shuttle service. Everything is great from the service to the amenities and the food. The pool and the gym are magnificent and the breakfast very rich, including gluten free and vegetarian options. Top quality. I strongly recommend this place.

It was our first time in Kenya and we wanted somewhere close to the airport to rest before starting our safari. They arranged for us to be fetched from the airport (5am) and even though we had early check in (10am) Lina had our room ready at 8am. Everyone was very helpful. Would definitely book here again. The room was clean, and the pool was great. Their breakfast buffet was just amazing. A nice mix of vegan and vegetarian options.

Lovely hotel. Beautiful room, delicious breakfast, amazing staff especially Ms Purity at the checkin who accommodated my questions and was very polite, always with a smile. The hotel has a prayer room near the lobby. Clean and spacious but no separation between men and women. The complimentary airport shuttle service was very useful. Will definitely stay here again.

Location is perfect for transition, besides the hotel also provide free shuttle between the airport. The room is clean and cozy, employees are very welcoming and friendly.

That's a wonderful hotel! From the pick up at the airport, Judy was really kind and professional. She handled us with utmost courtesy and my whole team was in great appreciation of her. She always arranged our transport in a timely fashion and together with the driver, they made our pick ups and drop offs worry-free even at very late hours. So we surely will stay at Argyle even in the future in our many forthcoming business trips. The front desk was always helpful and catered to our needs. Mariam and Kate in particular took worked fast and at ease in a cordial fashion. They provided all necessary information for my team and made us make 3 subsequent bookings during our stay, we didn't want anything less. Of course, food was great and the service there was just amazing! Jacinta and her colleagues were so nice, my team enjoyed the food and the overall presentation of the whole buffet. Great stay. Very nice and clean hotel. Very new. 7mins drive from the airport. Breakfast spread was decent. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! I’ve been staying at Four Points Sheraton over the past 10 years and decided to try Argyle for the first time as it was almost half the price of Sheraton Four Points. The hotel is very pretty, sparkling clean and rooms are very modern. My only negative observation was that the hotel was a bit understaffed. We arrived at 11pm and only 1 check in desk was open with another 4 people ahead of me checking in. Food at the restaurant was excellent but a quick bite lasted almost 2h as there were not enough waitstaff. Overall it was a great stay and I will definately stay again.

Good and kind staff. The room is clean and quiet. Good to stay when you arrived at JKIA late or depart early morning.
