Golf View Hotel & Spa

I was with a tour group which may have overwhelmed the staff a bit. My room was lovely although I overlooked the HVAC/roof. The fan in my room was covered in dust, and the towel rack did not work. Both were rectified quickly. The setting of this hotel is quite lovely, and its easy to take a nice walk.

We had a superb few days here, relaxing in the Spa, walking nearby and dining in the Hickory restaurant. The staff were approachable, friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, having been before it didn’t disappoint. We can’t wait to return.

Wonderful stay, Lovely room with beautiful view very friendly helpful staff . Spa facilities great. Very relaxing couple of days away. Only down fall was uncooked tattie scones and under cooked black pudding but will definitely be back 😊

Lovely Hotel, friendly staff, fantastic location, breakfast service was very slow the first morning and unfortunately we missed a guided trip to Brodie Castle that had cost £28 for the two of us. Hate writing anything negative on trip advisor but we were in room no2 and the mattress is completely done (all very soft and lumpy) I did actually review the hotel via an email they sent asking for one but unfortunately didn’t reply to us. We would definitely stay again though as it’s difficult getting everything right all the time. Stayed 22nd to 24th October.

We were driving from Orkney to West Lothian and broke the journey with a night in Nairn. The hotel service is first class and the food exceptional.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a very comfortable family room with our two dogs, who each received a doggy welcome pack! The spa facilities are definitely worth taking advantage of and we took our meals in the bar area with our dogs, food excellent and very good quality

5 STAR HOTEL? I DON'T THINK SO!! Having booked a "Coorie 2 night" stay I spoke to a Hotel Member (who actually called me) and I asked for a third night to be added. Upon arrival a catalogue of errors occurred: Unfriendly staff at arrival Third night had not been booked Advised that "there were no spare rooms for the third night" No apologies from reception staff Limited Dinner Menu that did not have half of the food available "we were really busy at the weekend" was the response, this was Monday night!! Pulled back covers getting ready for bed and discovered the sheets were stained with something, not just in one place!! Spoke to Night Supervisor who was very apologetic and changed our bed sheets for us. Highland breakfast consisted of 1 sausage, 1 slice of bacon, 1 potato scone, 1 poached egg (more like hard boiled), 1/2 a slice of black pudding, 1/2 a slice of haggis pudding, 1/2 slice of tomato Very little cereal selection, pastries non existent, bread non existent Very slow service at breakfast, 25 minutes to get toast and coffee and 45 minutes to get the hot food. Each evening was charged at £310 DBB Spoke to Day Supervisor as Manager was not available and were provided with a free dinner that evening, same limited menu as the night before. The food was okay but a Scallop starter with TWO Scallops and a slither of pea puree was certainly not what I was expecting, but at least they had managed to source scallops for the second evening! For a returning customer who had previously had an excellent stay we were very disappointed and for the money that was paid, expected an awful lot more than we experienced. Calling the hotel 5 star is not accurate.

Would definitely recommend a stay here. Location is amazing and the hotel itself is beautiful and really well maintained. Spa facilities are second to none. Will definitely be back.
