Hotel Maharaja

Located way deep inside ***** a small road towards the Zoo on the mall road. Do call the hotel prior to arrival, so that they can guide you to correct destination. Food is ok ok. Hot water from 7am- 4 pm only. Pvt parking is small, confirm before hand. Rooms are average but cozy. Check bedsheets, we found stained linen., but they changed promptly. Small items like Dustbin toiletries missing, but again replaced promptly. Mr. Raju hotel incharge is very helpful. Food is average, but dinner need to inform by 8 as kitchen closes by 9 pm. Their dog LEO is the star, a huge animal, but very very cheerful and playful. He Gives a wake up call by 6. Common balcony for few rooms, but view not worth looking. Similar to any other busy hill station. Free pick up shuttle from mall road to hotel till 9 pm. Decent dining area, but food can be served in room also. Beware of monkey menace, though. Didn't enter the hotel. Reception staff needs training, basic POS machin operations was difficult for them. Overall clean hotel, with difficult approach. Decent humble staff. Leo was a star.

It is a decent hotel with nice ambience, and even parking .The management is appreciating. Me and my business colleague reached there late night on 1 Nov .. and they do arrange everything for us so nicely .Thanks to the management.

Since it was a last minute weekend plan, getting a good hotel with lake view room was difficult. Ultimately got this decent Hotel. We could not get the lake view room. But our suite room had direct access to common lake view balcony. It is a clean and decent hotel. Since the hotel is a steep climb from Mall Road, they offer complimentary pick up from Mall Road before 9 pm.
