I had a booking with GoStops through MakeMyTrip, but due to a serious medical emergency, two of my friends were unfit to travel, with one even being hospitalized. Despite providing all medical proofs, both MakeMyTrip and GoStops refused to offer any support, whether in the form of a partial refund or even a voucher.
MakeMyTrip claims in their policy that they consider medical emergencies, yet in reality, they completely ignored my case after multiple follow-ups. The lack of professionalism and customer care is truly disappointed. When I contacted GoStops customer support, one of their representatives spoke to me rudely and accused me of lying, questioning how two people could fall sick at the same time. Does he even understand the meaning of an emergency? Emergencies are unforeseen situations beyond anyone’s control, and such an insensitive response from a hospitality provider is shocking.
This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I would advise others to think twice before booking through MakeMyTrip or GoStops. If a genuine medical emergency is not enough for them to reconsider their policies, how can customers trust them in any situation?
