Jim's Jungle Retreat

We had an amazing stay here: great food, attentive service, passionate and incredibly knowledgeable naturalists, and the spa was excellent also. I even saw a mongoose whilst sitting on the veranda - at this place, the safari even comes to you! Would highly recommend it and will be returning.

We’ve just spent three fantastic days and nights at JJR and cannot fault a thing. The communication from start to end has been so easy, and nothing was too much trouble to arrange. The accommodation was great with a cottage suitable for a couple and parents, and being close to the pool, lounge and restaurant was really handy, although the weather wasn’t too kind so we weren’t able to use all of the facilities. The food was really really good and there was a large range of regional, Indian and continental dishes available on offer throughout the day, service with a smile and a willingness to accommodate special diets / requests. The safaris (tiger, bird) and walking tours arranged and led by the JJR team were very professionally organised, with snacks, chai, water, waterproofs and binoculars available if needed and you could tell the staff were all genuinely interested in searching, waiting for and pointing out any wildlife they saw (including the sleeping tiger!). Overall an amazing stay and I just wish we’d managed to get here sooner whilst we’ve been based in India but so grateful we got the opportunity to visit!

It was a wonderful experience with close to nature and amazing food. This Property is sharing the boundry with national park that gives its uniqueness. Room has a rustic vibe as we were staging in lodge room. Want thank all who had made our stay special with lots of memories. special thanks- Nimisha and Jeevan the naturalist’s who make sure that we know about nature, birds and wildlife. Vishal for talking care if all the food serving and taking all our request with a smile. thank you Also want to thank Saurabh from spa who had given out spl foot massage and it was complete relaxing. Memories to cherish - Welcomed with outstanding lunch in open with sun kissed vibe in Corbett sahib cafe. Then the documentary in dinner area with fireplace and some hot toddy!! In Safari the amazing experiance with Jeevan and manoj. We will surely come again and make more memories soon!!

Great location, intense focus on eco tourism, so much warmth from the staff, great food, amazing service. Everything was perfect. The pool is excellent. Special call out to the master chef- Mr Negi and to the Gopal the conservationalist. Rooms are clean and beautifully fitted out with wooden fixtures in the style of a well appointed colonial bungalow. Liked the rugs especially and the bamboo knitted blinds. We were in a conservation suite which we would strongly recommend.

This Retreat is absolutely fabulous. Located in an off béat road it is situated amidst à forest environnent with many trees aandendemic plants. Thé room (lodge) was very spacious and confortable. Thé balcony was immense and very nice with lovely sit out furniture. Thé bathroom too was spacious and practical. Thé restaurant was lovely with good food though we seemed to be served almost thé same dishes for dinner. We could however choose our lunch menu . Possibility to have wine too. Thé café serves tea and coffee. There is also à nice shop, rather well stocked. Nice souvenirs to take back home. Safaris are arranged by thé hôtel .A lovely pool was an added asset. An on site naturalist was very compétent and showed us around thé property. Strongly recommend Jim's jungle Retreat.

Very serene and comfortable Jungle Lodge. Charming staff and excellent food. Arranged 4 private safaris with top notch driver and wildlife guide. Highlights were the tiger and the elephants plus many birds, deer and monkeys. Best safaris I have been on in India.
