Days Inn by Wyndham Nacogdoches/Sfa University/Downtown

My wife, son, and I recently visited Nacogdoches for a campus tour at SFA University and chose to stay at the Days Inn Nacogdoches due to its proximity to the university. I selected this hotel partly because it was one of the more expensive options in the area with availability, assuming that a higher price would correlate with a better experience. Unfortunately, our stay did not meet those expectations. We arrived at the hotel around 9 PM, checked in, and proceeded to our room. Upon entering, I attempted to secure the door using the swing bar lock, only to find that it was extremely loose and not properly attached. The screws were ineffective, leaving the door lock compromised. Given the lack of a secure lock, I felt it was too risky for my family's safety to remain in that room. As a result, we left the Days Inn and drove 30 miles to Lufkin to stay at a Marriott.

This was more like a motel than a hotel. The room was clean but with dead bugs all around the room. Should have been vacuumed before allowing a guest in. Breakfast was coffee, juice, granola bar or mini muffin. Staff was pleasant and ac omodating.

Very big dispute over the manager, checking us out without our permission clean back to the room. Oh he just lied so many times never again at this hotel I wouldn’t have buys it to anyone.
