Mysore County Retreat

1. The location of the hotel is outskirts of Mysore 2. There was nobody for the valet parking. 3. You have to pick your bag on your own and take it to the room. 4. The check in was smooth 5. Room cleanliness - 0 6. No toiletries 7. Pathetic buffet 8. No AC cooling

This property may have been great once, but it’s clear that it’s in need of some maintenance. While the facilities are well-thought-out, there are visible signs of patch-up repairs throughout the property. Room Experience: Check-in was smooth, but the first room we were shown needed repairs and had a musty smell. The wood flooring, which must have been beautiful once, was peeling off. After requesting an upgrade, I was moved to a larger room for a nominal charge, which was better and more spacious. The room had two separate areas for sitting and sleeping, a small dressing area with a cupboard and mirror, and a good shower. The AC in this room also didn’t work properly, and I was advised to just switch it off if it got too cold. However, the AC was still problematic. Despite the room being large and comfortable, sleep was disturbed by the AC, but with pleasant weather, we were able to manage without it. The balcony was huge, although we didn’t use it much. Food: The food was very good. We had the buffet, which offered a standard variety but was flavorful and tasty. The staff was courteous and helpful, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Conclusion: I’m giving this property 4/5, mainly due to the helpful and friendly staff and the quality of the food. While the room was spacious and the location was good, the maintenance issues with the AC and repairs were disappointing.

We recently stayed at Mysore County Retreat with family and had a thoroughly disappointing experience. - The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all during our stay. Despite multiple requests to the staff, there was no resolution or even an update. - The restaurant, Mosaic, served spoiled food in their buffet. We brought this to the chef’s attention, but shockingly, there was no apology or corrective action taken. - The swimming pool was dirty and clearly not maintained for weeks, making it unusable and unsafe, especially for children. The lack of basic hospitality and hygiene ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. I would not recommend this property to anyone until they take serious steps to improve service standards and cleanliness.

Terrible experience — not worth the money We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and the experience was extremely disappointing. To begin with, the AC in our room wasn’t working for both days, making it very uncomfortable. We complained multiple times but no proper action was taken. The swimming pool was another disaster — it had a foul smell throughout our stay, clearly neglected and unhygienic. The food served at the hotel was equally bad. The taste was below average and nowhere near what you’d expect from a decent property. We ended up avoiding most of the meals because of this. To make things worse, during checkout, the staff didn’t give us any bills. They simply quoted a total amount to be paid. Even after asking for a detailed bill multiple times, they made us wait for over 30 minutes and still failed to provide it. Highly unprofessional and careless service. Overall, a terrible experience — poorly maintained property, bad food, and unprofessional staff. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel offers outstanding hospitality and service, making for a warm and welcoming stay. The staff is attentive, professional, and always ready to assist, which enhances the overall experience. However, the breakfast selection could use some improvement, as the variety and choices are somewhat limited compared to expectations. While the hotel itself feels a bit dated and older compared to some of the newer or more modern brands, it still maintains a charm that adds to its character. Despite this, the comfort, cleanliness, and service quality more than make up for it, Specially Thanks for Mr. Veerappa from Bar Taken Care very Well and I would gladly choose to stay here again.

my birthday was truly memorable moment at the hotel. We had super Comfortable stay at the county retreat mysore. The location was perfect and the kindness & hospitality of the staff was even more perfect. A heartful thanks you tooo Mr Veerappa, Sushmita, Mohamed and Devaraju for contribution to make our day awesome, Loved your decoration to my table, offer welcome drink on Arrival and thank you for all hard work, delicious recommendations. The spa was really so great relaxing and enjoy the view at pool with great service. Overall this was a superlatives experience.
