We stayed in January and couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. Although the place is a bit far to walk into Myoko and the ski fields, Masao-san was a fantastic host. His English is perfect, and he was very informative and happy to shuttle us to town and the ski slopes. We had breakfast every morning, and our favorite was the Japanese-style breakfasts. I highly recommend staying here, and we will certainly be back. It was just perfect for the family. My only complaint has nothing to do with the hosts or the accommodation but with the two young fellas staying long-term. They were very inconsiderate of other guests. The fridge, which is for everyone to share, had a large majority of the space taken up by their beer.

We’re a family of 2 adults and 2 teens. We loved staying here, hosts were so welcoming and the house is very comfortable. They offer a shuttle service if you want or it is about a 2km walk to the village. We ate a delicious meal here one night and the other nights ate in the village. Shared bathroom was fine, and onsen lovely. Perfect for families.

We arrived very soon but Masao-san and Yasuko-san just welcomed us without any problem ! They treated us like family it was so comfy and warm we really enjoyed their hospitality and kindness. They guided us through myoko kogen, picked us at the station and bringing us everywhere. They even asked for the train and the bus schedule. It would have been very difficult without their help I higly recommend this place even if you dont have vehicule !
