Aegon Mykonos, Autograph Collection

Quintessentially Autograph collection experience. This is a beautiful and unique hotel. Has an intimate, boutique feeling with the name brand one to ensure your peace of mind. I was worried when reading reviews from last year, but the hotel has certainly worked hard to remedy any issues from the past. We stayed over early July. Clean, beautiful rooms, excellent service from smiling, amazing staff. Darwin is a staff member who has worked in other European Marriott properties and really knows how to deliver on the brand promise! There are two properties in this hotel. We stayed at the Retreat, which is about a 2 minute walk to the beach. Gorgeous views, refreshing and sparkling pools, private swimming pools for many of the rooms! What a treat! Everything worked amazingly for us. Transfer pick up driver was on time and excellent. Welcome drinks, and staff welcome was very refreshing! Breakfast buffet was scrumptious! The 2 minute walk to the Kalo Livadi beach was not a problem at all. The other property (Revive) is pretty much on the beach, so if that’s important to you, you may want to consider this. We got beach chairs and an umbrella, towels, with a minimum, purchase of €30 per person. Food and service on the beach were terrific, beach quiet and the ambiance wonderful. All in, an amazing stay. I was sad to leave, and I’d really like to go back again.

Aegon may seem a bit out of the way but it was a lovely hotel to stay at. Many hotels rate and advertise themselves as "5 star" and although Aegon isn't "5 star", it could be. It is practically new, a short drive from a beach where you can find private beach clubs and about a 20min drive from Mykonos town (Fabrica end) depending on traffic. It is also just a 15min drive to the airport. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean (which is extremely important) and the rooms are very spacious with big balconies. The outdoor space is nice too (not massive), with a beautiful pool, which is a good size. It would be great if they could get bigger umbrellas that offer some protection from the sun, so guests don't fry! The climate has changed and it just isn't pleasant sitting in the sun anymore and the problem is that you can't really enjoy the pool as there isn't much shade at all. Hopefully the Marriott can invest some money on that...Otherwise, it's beautiful. We were out all the time and didn't try the food at the hotel except for breakfast, which was what you would expect, nicely displayed and everything seemed clean. The staff at this hotel were truly lovely and made us feel very welcome indeed. A big thank you to Adriana, Darwin and Kalliopi at the reception, Dimitris, Michaela and Giannis at the breakfast room/bar. And of course to Pavlos the Manager who is a lovely man and was very helpful to us. Unfortunately we didn't get any names from the housekeeping staff but the hotel and the rooms were clean so they are doing a great job. Unlike everywhere else we have stayed in Mykonos over the years, this is a hotel we would actually be happy to come back to.

This hotel is in one of the most beautiful locations in mykonos. Rooms are super small. Their beach is totally over rated. We had to wait for ever for drinks and food. In fron the Beachclub it parked with cars that they make so much dust to the pool and noise. The view to the beach is so ugly!!!! They have blocked it with a wooden wall and it is parked with cars and motorbikes. First day we came and we parked there the guy asked us to pay even though we stay in the hotel. He made such a big drama to make us pay for the parking. Dont go! I am a titanium Bonvoy member and i was treated so bad!!!!!! Horrible people and not what we were expecting!!!!!

We had an excellent stay at Aegon in the Wellness Suites. The property is brand new, beautifully and elegantly designed and extremely well run. The staff are very attentive and helpful, especially the management. We are Titanium Bonvoy members and had a hiccup with the reservation details and the hotel manager solved it personally and immediately. We were very impressed, We also had dinner at the sushi restaurant at the hotel which was also great, our sushi and steak were excellent. All in all an excellent Autograph property

The entire stay was incredible. We arrived at the airport and our driver was waiting. We were driven to the hotel by in the most comfortable hotel car I've been picked up in. The hotel is the most beautiful we've stayed at - an elegant mix of modern design with a local aesthetic. We didn't feel the need to leave because the pools are great and the beach (a few minutes walk) was the best we found on the island. There is also a beach club you can spend time at with excellent food and drinks prepared by the hotel. We found it to be the nicest club on the beach. Our room was equally amazing with comfortable beds, reliable WiFi, and great air conditioning (something we've had trouble with at other hotels in Greece). The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay giving us great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. Everything we tried at the restaurant was fresh and well prepared (loved the Shepard's Pie even though it's not something I'd order....what a great recommendation). We'll definitely plan to come back and have already recommended it to our friends. Next summer can't come soon enough.

My best friend and her husband stayed at this hotel and she had a traumatic experience. The staff and manager didn’t treat them right. The room wasn’t being cleaned and even getting a clean towel took several attempts. My friend and her husband felt that the reason for the mistreatment was their race/ethnicity because there was no other explanation for the terrible treatment they received. Thought I share this and hope they change their policies and staff
