Very nice hotel with lovely bar and reception staff and beautiful common areas, clean, comfortable, with sea view, large room and bathroom, however, unfortunately, I would not recommend it after being left fearful of a staff member during our stay. On our second day, after harassing my friend - a woman that didn’t speak his language properly - and making her cry during our dinner, one of the restaurant staff, Assis, left his station very angry after my friend’s husband asked for his name to make a complaint to management about the situation - Assis chased my husband and my friend’s husband in the restaurant and we truly believed that this man was going to start a fight. Even when the restaurant manager tried to calm him down, he continued on agressively yelling and pointing fingers at my friend’s face. Good to note that all of this happened because she made a 5 second video of the meat he was preparing, without filming him and deleting the video as soon as he requested. This lead to a formal complaint with hotel management and a night of us being very anxious and deciding to spend our last day in Alicante, despite having an all inclusive option at the hotel, to try and change our impression on the country. Restaurant staff was rude and confused throughout our stay, failing to clean tables and communicating very rudely with us - we speak Portuguese, very similar to Spanish and understand the language very well, also all of us are fluent English speakers, but all restaurant staff seemed to be annoyed by us for not speaking their own language (perhaps you should learn it if staying 4 days in this hotel). Amparo was also very unpleasant in all her communications with us, it truly seemed like we were not welcomed by her and her team. About the hotel, We travelled as a couple and with a couple of friends and stayed for 4 days on the all inclusive option. Breakfast has many different options and food is lovely, with fresh eggs and a nice pastrie selection, afternoon snack is nice and cocktails are great - however, there is only one option of beer on the all inclusive and lunch and dinner are regular, desserts are the only item that did not meet our taste and could have been better. For entrentainment, everything is in Spanish, which is fine as it is a Spanish speaking country, however, good to warn that most of the team here does not speak any english or make any effort to communicate. There is bingo and dancing and the majority of guests were elderly and actually very rude and entitled, which is not the hotel’s fault but did contribute to our bad experience. Games in the game room are all charged, which is weird for a hotel part of the Hyatt group - did not expect to pay 2 euros each time we played snooker in an all inclusive hotel. I do have to point out that the manager was polite and concerned with our complaint and that the bar staff is lovely, always very willing to understand what we asked for, smiley and made our days happier - Lovely w
