River Muonionjoki is a tributary of Torne river, which is the longest salmon river in Europe. Good possibilities for salmon fishing, other fish species are sea trout and grayling. Fishing area: 2502 Tornionjoki -Muonionjoki – Könkämäeno (www.eraluvat.fi) Fishing in lakes is usually permitted with fisheries management fee. One fishing rod can be used. Small game hunting areas: 2602 Muonio and 1614 Hetta-Karesuvanto (www.eraluvat.fi). A snowmobile trail is located on the opposite shore of the lake. The snowmobile trail (Victoria trail, continuing to Kilpisjärvi) running parallel the Swedish border is easily accessible.
