Very accommodating exceptional customer service very comforting and laid back atmosphere close to restaurants and interstate easily accessible highly recommend this place for anyone coming on vacation or just for business you wont regret it

Very quiet considering nearness to the interstate. Service was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I've stayed at this property over the last few years on several occasions, but I am saddened to say the last 2-3 stays have been a bit tarnished by the polish this property once had. The morning manager was very courteous and is striving to resurrect the reputation of the property, but she can only do so much when it appears she is limited as to what she's allowed to do. First I will say the bathroom was spotless and the shower was hot. The A/C was very cold on a hot Texas day which was a positive. I had challenges with the TV/Cable Box and the young man at the front desk had to come twice to adjust/fix it. Although the bed was fairly clean and comfortable, unfortunately the linens were pretty much thread bare and I had a visitor I didn't know about until the morning of my departure lurking on the far side of the bed under the covers. Yes, a bed bug. In all fairness, I had not spotted any other insects around in the room, but in all honesty, in all of my hears of traveling, this was the very first bed bug I had ever encountered. It was just one, and I squished it (thus the blood stain) but if I had one in my room, I'm sure there were others in other rooms. The furniture in my room was rickety and stained, the outside corridors and the stair areas were cluttered and dirty and overgrown. The breakfast area had two small, dull apples in the fruit bowel, two mini-muffins in the bread holder, a small pile of eggs with no sausage in the warmer, and a hot waffle iron was hot, ready, and clean. I always want to look for the positive and give properties a benefit of a doubt, but the challenges they have seem to be a pattern. Although this property is older, it's in a quiet, secluded area has the potential for so much more than what it's current state is. I've stayed at the other budget motels in town before, and they'd probably be a safer bet for now. Here's hoping this property gets back to a good place.

The house keeper busted up in my room after I helped another housekeeper make the bed and clean. It was kinda the worst stay ever and then the next day I actually left the room thinking they would come in and clean and put out clean towels n stuff but no I had to dry off with a shirt after I showered. Bought my own toilet paper. Took the trash out and slept in a dirty bed.

I booked this hotel for my employees to stay in while working out of town. Here is what they said when they called and BEGGED me to book them somewhere else. The bathroom was dirty and didn't have a fan. The furniture was BROKEN and wobbly. People in the next room obviously lived there and were cooking on a hot plate after midnight and the smell was drifting into their room. The pool was closed indefinitely for repairs. (A major reason we picked this hotel) They arrived late in the evening and didnt tell me the problems till the next morning.. but as soon as they called me I called the hotel desk and cancelled the room we had reserved for 3 nights. They charged us anyway for not having given 24 hours notice..even though we TOLD them we were leaving because of the pool situation and broken furniture and shady guests and gross bathroom. I've tried to call them numerous times and have been unsuccessful in reaching anyone with authority to refund the bogus charges. THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO STAY. We rebooked at LaQuinta and the guys were MUCH happier. I wouldn't have bothered with a review if I could have ever reached an actual manager and come to some kind of agreement about the charge for the night we were not there.

This used to be one of the nicer hotels in the area. I don't know what happened, but it has gone downhill tremendously - The staff were rude and unaccomodating and the rooms were nasty, not clean, and smelled of mildew. Place is falling apart. When we made the reservation we called the front desk, not the 800 number and requested adjoining rooms. We were informed that they would do their best to accommodate, but at check in later said they did not even have the room types available. They were rude and unwilling to help reach a satisfactory resolution. They did not inform us of the breakfast hours at check-in, so when we went down at 9:30AM while everything was still out and available, we were told that breakfast was closed. The pool was green, rooms were really falling apart, the doors did not self close like they are supposed to - this is a safety hazard, rusted fixtures, the toilet was not secured to the floor, disgusting linens, mold, all the furniture looks like it was sitting out in the rain with water damage and just completely run down conditions. Take it from a Travel Agent, Meeting Planner and Former Employee - I would not recommend this hotel to anybody and it's a shame that Choice continues to have them under their flag because this is not Choice Quality.

The building is very old and poorly maintained. It needs painting and updated. Grass was not cut, bushes were overgrown, dust and spider webs on the stairs, outside hallways were dusty and not clean, driveways and parking areas are horrible ( needs repaying badly), breakfast not as expected, no orange juice or cranberry juice, no waffle batter, computer does no work (just occupying space). There is so much more. I would not recommend this hotel nor stay here again.

You get what you pay for (or don’t pay for). Pros: receptionist was friendly, bed was comfortable and location fairly quiet. Cons: nasty, stained carpet, thin towels, difficult to get add’l towels, no TV remote. Will never stay here again.

I called the hotel and Tim at the front desk assured me negative issues written in reviews a few months ago were now under control. And speaking for our stay, we had no problems. The room was clean, had a comfortable firm mattress, and good Wifi. The hot breakfast was ok. The fresh fruit was very nice and the staff helpful. If you are wanting a place that is recently refurbished with new carpet, etc., this is not the place. It's not a high-end Quality Inn, but neither is the price. A real plus is a marvelous local Italian restaurant called Louigi's is 8/10 mile away off Rt 49. Louigi's is as good as any Italian food we have had including in Italy.
