Lovely place, especially for the price. Amazing cleanliness, super lovely owners. Great spot, only a few minutes drive to the beach and Main Street of town. Would definitely stay here again. We stayed in the wheelchair accessible unit and it was perfect for my partner who is a manual wheelchair user. Wet floor shower and fold down seat. Basin in the bathroom nice and low. Ramp to get into the unit.

We have been here 3 nights. The couple running the motel couldn’t have been more obliging. The room was clean and large with everything you needed to cook. Plenty of hot water with a good shower. A large comfy bed.Free laundry and outside space with table and chairs. The area was a 10 minutes walk to the beach. Where you could find plenty of shops and restaurants. With a supermarket in a few minutes walk away.

Fab accommodation, room was huge, bed and pillows were very comfy. All amenities in the room were fab, milk also supplied. Owners were lovely and friendly - would defo recommend this motel. Wifi signal was really good

A comfortable stay in a clean and comfortable motel room. The owners, who work onsite are very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and I parked my car right outside the room, so moving my luggage in and out was easy. There’s complementary guest laundry and a paid for dryer or a washing line. There’s a New World supermarket virtually opposite and eateries within a walk or a short drive away. It’s a good location to explore the beach and coastline. It was a bit noisy as there’s no soundproofing and all motels in New Zealand appear to be of single block construction. Apart from that, it was a good nights stay and I’d stay there again.

Located off a busy road. Walking distance to takeaways, restaurants, new world supermarket and a petrol station. Very quiet, clean spacious room. Comfortable bed and great decor. Enjoyed my stay. Only issue i had was the smoke alarm in our room setting off at 6am. Maybe it’s the new alarm clock cause it certainly woke me up because I’m definitely not a morning person. After switching it off and dozing back to sleep - it went off again. Happened about 3 times until I had to remove the batteries so I could sleep. Very odd and I started freaking out wondering if there was a ghost in the room messing with me. Besides the smoke alarm ghost, overall, it is a very nice motel!

We were traveling with two young children, and five adults including a person with physical disablities. Blue Haven accommodated all of our needs! They were helpful, friendly and professional. Large grass ares for children to play, close to New World and beach, clean adequate room.
