The Estate at Mt Dora

The location is great - the bathroom terrible. We stayed in the Willow room which is located in a separate building from the main house. The bedroom was fine with a comfy bed, great TV and fresh towels. The mini kitchen was appropriately equipped. The bathroom was a significant negative. The toilet area was so cramped we had to put our feet in the shower. The shower had enough mold on the tiles to be of concern and the shelf inside the vsnity cabinet was covered in black mold.

Outside it looks old and tired…. The booking confirmation was a little unclear. We missed the part about access code…which you need to get in the room. Inside the bed was great, amenities included Keurig coffee machine, huge tv, good supply of towels, etc. on site ample parking. The big issue for a 6ft person is the bathroom. Almost Smaller than a toilet on an airplane. In our room in the annex/barn the laminate floor was lifting so a bit of a hazard. The power suddenly went off and no one around ..eventually we did find a woman. No staff nor owner are on site. There is a phone number to call..and wait for someone. Febreze was heavily used… to the point it was a problem for my wife who suffers from asthma. We opened every window and door to get rid of it. Not a repeater at least for us. But probably ok for many others.

My dog and my wife and I stayed in the Azalea suite August 14-16,2023. We really enjoyed our time at the Estate. History, architecture, comfort, pleasant conversations with other guests. The bed was firm, the towels were thick and fluffy, and the TV was huge. The property is beautiful, old oaks and greenery. Great location. A great upright piano in the common area first floor. Woke up one morning to someone playing it gently and well. A great experience. Will return. Derek checked in with us and was a great host.

Beautiful, quiet home. Comfortable. Easy walk to town. Well appointed. Second stay in two months. Love it! Beth, the innkeeper, is helpful, thoughtful and just plan fun! Can’t wait to visit again. Great place for couples, girls weekend or even by yourself.

We stayed here for three nights at the end of our holiday touring around Florida (from the UK). We were so pleased when we entered this gorgeous traditional home with its verandas, Tiffany lamps and lovely furnishings that we asked to stay an extra night. Initially we stayed in the Azalea apartment which was huge, spotless with everything you could want and more. The towels were so thick, Netflix was on the TV (if wanted) chocolates in the bowl near the guest book and a bottle of sparkling cider with glasses provided on arrival. There is plenty of parking at the rear and the buildings are situated in a quiet residential area. As 'our' apartment was booked for the third night we stayed in the Bougainvillea room below it. Still lovely but not as large. Jeremiah's restaurant is on the corner of the block, 5 minutes walk if you don't want to go further into town. If you do go into town there is plenty of choice of restaurants, bars and shops. When we were there over New Year the town centre was beautifully lit up celebrating the festivities. So glad we stayed here and not Orlando.

Very comfortable room, nicely appointed had everything we needed for our stay. Grounds are quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Best part for us is they accept dogs for a small fee. We loved it and will be back.

My boyfriend and I were visiting friends and family over the weekend and stayed at The Heirloom Estate in the Victoria Rose room. It was absolutely lovely! The property is beautiful, the beds are comfortable and Beth, the Inn keeper at the estate was so warm and welcoming. It was a perfect weekend getaway for us and. We can’t wait to go back!

We came to Mount Dora for a overnight visit to see what Mount Dora had to offer. We stayed at one of the Heirloom Estate properties.It was a healthy walk to town but certainly doable. Beth was a wonderful host. I felt like I knew her for years. I slept great. the room was quite and the bed was comfortable. Ill go back for sure.

This was our Thanksgiving and Anniversary mini getaway. We booked The Gardenia room. I was a bit confused as I booked this with ********* so I wasn't sure if it was a B&B, hotel type of room or AirBNB. I received an email after booking with the instructions which gave me the idea that it was more as an AirBNB. I admit that I do not go out that much and I'm still learning. I have read some reviews mentioning coffee and breakfast which is why I initially thought it was more of a B&B but we didn't have that in our instructions pdf. It didn't matter anyway. We got there on Monday and parked our car. They have parking at the back and next to the rooms for their guests which is a plus. The surrounding areas are well kept. We didn't know where to go, so we went to the main building (at the front) and asked the only person that was there. It was a lady, she seemed to be working at the place. She told us that was not the building that we were to stay and that ours was at the back. Our room was upstairs. The beds are so comfortable that literally ****** me in. I haven't slept that well in a while. Our small apartment had a kitchen, dining table, huge TV, comfortable bathroom. It's pet friendly too. There are small outdoor areas for each rooms where you can sit. There is a screened gazebo with plenty of seating for a huge or more than one family. There is a hammock and a swing on a tree. Everything is close. Very quiet during the night. It is a 15 minutes walk to town. This is a gem.
