Hotel Marina - Liburnia

Hotel needs some renovation and it doesn’t look like on the photos on the liburnia hotels site. Placemats that are put on a table in this hotel with 4* should have go to trash many years ago. Swimming pool is very small.

We went as a family of 3 in one room + extra bed. I slept on the extra bed (which is some sort of foldable sleep couch) and although there was a slightly hard line in the middle, I was able to sleep well. It even has a curtain to make it seem like a little extra room. The AC was very loud and very cold. On our last day we found the hidden switch behind the curtains so make sure to thoroughly check or ask the staff at the reception. Speaking of which, we had to go down there and ask for help with several things and the staff was always friendly and helpful. There's always someone at the reception, 24/7 Many of them speak German but going without English knowledge would make your trip a bit more difficult. People in the shops and cafés around the Hotel also speak both languages and also Italian. The hotel has a 1,35m deep pool and less than a minute to the beach. Make sure to pack water shoes though as it's not a Sandy beach but has pebbles. The water is fantastic btw. There is a supermarket (Konsum) right next to the hotel so you can buy whatever you might need there. Surprisingly there's a good bus connection to Opatija and Rijeka as well. Just ask the reception staff for a bus plan and they'll explain everything. Google maps also helps with that. Our 7 year old enjoyed the Kids club and the kids disco with mascot Liri which is every night at 8pm. The disco is usually followed by performances like dance shows and a clown. The dancers are talented and put a lot of effort into their shows. They even went around to talk with the guests, take pictures with the kids and it's been enjoyable to watch for adults as well. The food at the hotel was really good and there were always 4-5 different dishes to choose from, but their German translation occasionally lacked a correct translation. Make sure to bring a phone to translate (English is always there) or ask the staff. There's always a salad bar and they also offer cakes and ice cream (although the latter only in the evenings) We've had a great stay at the hotel and would recommend it. Again, shout-out to the really friendly dancers of the show, it was a pleasure talking to you.

We reserved 5 rooms since February and we had 5 cars. The price that was given to us was in euro and when we checked in they made us pay around 80€ plus for each family despite the fact that we already had email confirmations about the price in Euro. This amount was not present in the bill which they gave us 2 days later and never offered us the possibility to talk to the administration. After that we payed for the parking which turned out to be another scam. We were handeled a paper which was not a bill and we were told that we had a discount on the parking. When we left the hotel(which was left 1 day in advance) one of the recepsionists requested information and extra payment for the parking which we did not agree. She went outside and photographed our cars!!!!! One of us saw it and we immediatly requested to delete them because this is a violation of privacy and violation of personal information. The lady made sure that some other guy from the staff was outside to take pictures again!!! Against every law in the world!!! The hotel has no signed labels that is surveyd by cameras and imagine being photographed!!!! The only good thing was the cleaning staff and the food. Never coming

Meine erste Busreise! Über Silvester nach Opatija! Das Hotel würde ich als Jugendherberge bezeichnen! Das Haus hat mit Hotels im herkömmlichen Stil NICHTS zu tun! Die Wände so hellhörig, dass man beim Zimmernachbarn mitsprechen kann! Beim Frühstücksbuffet überhaupt keine Bedienungen, keine Tischdecken oder -sets....ich war nur fassungslos! Ich möchte gar nicht alles Negative auflisten! Die 2 Punkte sind für die Qualität der Speisen!

W lipcu tego roku ponownie spędziliśmy dwa tygodnie w Hotelu Marina. Zameldowanie w hotelu przebiegło bardzo sprawnie, nie czekaliśmy na pokój. O sprawne zakwaterowanie zadbał Pan Antonio - Front Office Manager, za co bardzo dziękujemy. Dostaliśmy pokój zgodny z oczekiwaniami, z ładnym widokiem i cichy. W Hotelu bez zmian - cały czas wysoki poziom obsługi, różnorodne i smaczne posiłki. W restauracji dużo miejsca, nie ma kolejek. Nastąpiła zmiana personelu restauracji - w tym roku większość stanowili Azjaci, zarówno kelnerzy jak i kucharze. W trakcie pobytu nastąpiła awaria toalety w pokoju - Pan Antonio - Front Office Manager błyskawicznie zapewnił nam nowy pokój, dodatkowo ze wspaniałym widokiem. Obsługa na najwyższym poziomie. W całym hotel jest czysto, pokoje na bieżąco sprzątane, wymieniane ręczniki. Jedynie uwaga co do basenu - jest niewielki i należałoby go co rano czyścić, bo z tym nie jest najlepiej oraz zadbać by osoby postronne, które przychodzą w nocy się kąpać nie hałasowały. Parking płatny około 12 euro, ale jest sporo dostępnych miejsc parkingowych. To był nasz drugi pobyt w Hotelu Marina i naprawdę udany. Rozważamy kolejną wizytę w 2025 roku. Wir sind 2 Paare in den 70ern und 80ern. Für uns war dieses Hotel leider eine unpassende Wahl: Es ist eingestellt auf Familien mit Kindern, entsprechend sind das Restaurant und die Bar ausgelegt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist mit 140 €/Nacht für ein spärliches Doppelzimmer absolut überteuert. Der Ort selbst ist nett, bietet aber auch nichts Besonderes. Unser Highlight war ein Privates Restaurant am Strand, wo wir ein hervorragendes Scampi-Risotto genossen haben.
