Hotel le Soly

Great value for money, super clean lovely breakfast, relaxing pool area, friendly staff lots of parking.

A wonderful small hotel close enough to Morzine town centre but not too close to hear the nightlife. The walk back to the hotel is on a gentle incline. There is a fast flowing river directly behind which provides a constant soothing noise, which helped me sleep. Rooms are very clean and mine had a large balcony. The highlight for me each morning was the fantastic breakfast buffet which, for an Englishman included bacon, eggs and sausage in addition to the usual continental choice. To the rear is a well kept lawned garden and a lovely swimming pool. The family who own the hotel are friendly and can’t do enough to help, their English is just about enough to encourage you to try some French, my school level French came under some pressure hahah! Look forward to returning.

We enjoyed a great week skiing in Morzine & Avoriaz and Hotel le Soly was the perfect base. We received a warm welcome and stayed in an immaculate double room overlooking the river, to the rear of the building. The hotel was spotless and very well presented throughout. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided a lovely selection of breakfasts for us to enjoy - the prefect start to each morning ! The location is excellent - being just a short walk (1 minute in ski gear) to a bus stop, which served the wider village and resort and a 5 - 10 minute walk to shops, bars & restaurants. There is a secure drying room and ample parking for those who drive. Should we return to Morzine in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to book to stay at Hotel le Soly.

The Hotel was clean and tidy. It was located very close to the Ski Bus stop that enabled travel to Morzine and Avoriaz very easily. The rooms were a good size and the bathroom we had was modern and had a good shower. Breakfast had plenty of variety and the bar was well stocked. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and made our stay very easy and enjoyable.

This is an exellent hotel in Morzine, close to centre amenities and ski bus. Great location at good value for money. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We just returned from a fantastic week’s stay at Hotel Le Soly. The hotel is perfectly situated: it is approximately a 5 minute walk to the Morzine bus station for airport transfers and a 2-5minute walk from the bus stop where you can catch the free shuttle to Le Pleney, Super Morzine or Les Prodains (where you can catch the gondola up to Avoriaz). It is also a short stroll from central Morzine where you can find excellent restaurants, bars and shops. Our room was immaculately clean and serviced every day. It is a family-run hotel and you feel very welcome and safe - both owners were friendly and helpful in offering tips and maps when requested. There is a hotel sauna that is free for your first 30 minutes of use - perfect for relaxing after a long day on the slopes! The boot room has ample storage space and heated boot racks which are fab! One recommendation for improvement would be to add some hooks within the rooms - when you return with damp ski jackets and salopettes it would be great to have hooks to air them on/dry them out as the wardrobe space is too low and closed off (I know others have made the same suggestion on reviews so it would be great to see this addition to rooms). Breakfast was good with lots of options although the “hot” options (French toast; pancakes; scrambled eggs and sausages were luke warm so one other area that could be improved). We would absolutely recommend this hotel and would definitely book again for our next ski holiday to Morzine - thank you for your hospitality Hotel Le Soly.
