So, there are many good things about the hotel. For instance, the front-desk staff are very friendly and helpful (except over the phone). The location is much better than the Golden Tulip's and the grounds are beautiful. All the basics are there, including hot water in the rooms. Okay, now the negatives. First, WiFi is available, but is extremely slow and patchy in the rooms. For instance, it would not connect from one side of my room at times. Second, the rooms need a serious cleanup. There is visible mold in the bathrooms for instance. Towels had stains on them that looked like they've been there forever. Finally, the front desk set me up with a person (he seemed like the "fixer" that was allowed to operate) for my COVID-19 test (PCR). The guy calls a doctor to come to the hotel to take your sample, which is convenient. After that, everything went wrong - this guy is incredibly dishonest. I asked for a certificate in English - he said no problem, it was in French. Okay, so he can get someone to translate it.. for a fee. Fine, it's the day of departure, I need the certificate - but I tell him to make sure that the sample collection date is on the translated certificate - no, it isn't. Finally, when paying the man for the flawed certificate, all of a sudden he does not have change. Despite the Comoros being a country where credit cards are barely accepted anywhere. So - the front desk staff are helpful. The hotel has all that you need (like hot water), but not much more. Is there a better choice in Moroni? That is doubtful. I would say avoid their fixer - have Adore Comores organize your PCR test instead. Get a SIM card for internet. With those, the biggest problems can be avoided.
