This is not a resort more like a motel. Our 1st room toilet leaked badly, nearly fell after walking into large puddle in dark. Moved to 2nd room. Sooo dusty, that's after a cleanup (see pics). Dining room a joke. 3 tables and a microwave. No amenities at all. No tea or coffee facilities. No crockery or cutlery. Had to buy water/plastic cups etc. Only 1 iron/board whole "Motel", so they have to hunt the iron, if they feel like it. No deck chairs, beach towels, just beach littered with rubbish. Bedroom ceiling leaked when it rained. 2 seats in reception see pic.disgusting. Don't go on balcony, door shut behind you, you've had it, can't get back in!! Only saving grace, SOME staff pleasant. Horrible old structure in beautiful setting, such a shame. However, road leading to building really, really bad, taxis almost have to drive in the bush to avoid huge dips.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. They lost my reservation, and the staff was sleeping when i got there to check-in. The young lady at the desk was trying to tell me after i showed here my reservation i had to pay a different price for a room. Not going to happen. The place look unkept an smelled of mold. This was the lobby area. The road on the way into the hotel was extremely bad. Potholes on both sides and dark. If it wasn't for my cab driver i would have spent my first night in Jamacia outside in the dark. Do not go here for any reason.

The customer service was horrible. No hot water when we checked in, was told they can’t help me tonight and when asked what about another room? Was told if my room has none the others won’t have either. No apologies nothing. Came back late and was locked out of hotel. It would have been great at check in if guests were told doors will be locked after hours please use the hidden buzzer. Room outdated just given 2 towels and 1 wash cloth.

We loved our stay at Golden Shore. From the large airy rooms to the beautiful working beech, it exceeded our expectations. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the location is perfect for exploring a lesser known part of the island. When you go, be sure to dine at Angola and Fish Cove delightful restaurants on the coast.

I visited with my mum and 18month old son for my mums birthday. Were from the UK but are now locals that live on the island. The room was clean well organised with hot running water at all times which was great. Adaptions due to C19 meant that the restaurant was only partially open but we were able to get some food delivered locally and the staff at the hotel were accommodating interms of my babys needs around meal times. Everyone was helpful and friendly...the only thing I wish we knew before hand is that the golden shore beach itself isnt the best for bathing...lyssons beach which is about 10mins down the road is mich better...the sea is calm and shallow.
