Super 8 by Wyndham Moosonee

The property is clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. Our room had a fridge and microwave and coffee machine.We knew that there were no restaurants in Town so had brought food to heat in the microwave. The breakfast available was suitable and included some hot items. It was a bit pricey for the night, however given the location and the fact that everything has to be brought to this location by train does impact the cost.

NO ELEVATOR and they were painting 1st floor so I had to carry my luggage up the flights of stairs to second floor. If you have a mobility issue, ensure you get a room on first floor. I don’t see how they got away without having one considering the ADA…

Comfortable beds, a breakfast included, and a good amount of lighting - even if there were many other accommodation options in town (and there aren't), this would be a good place to stay. Staff are accommodating and friendly. If you book the suite with a "kitchenette", be advised that you will need to provide your own dish detergent and dishes (although you can get some from the breakfast area). There's also a washer and dryer in the suite - but bring your own laundry detergent! An easy walk to everywhere, and right across from the supermarket, which is a good thing, considering that there are no restaurants in town!

Excellent hotel accommodations, friendly staff, and good breakfast. Moosonee is small and the hotel is very central to the train, Northern Store and Ferry Dock if you are traveling to Moose Factory. While not inexpensive, it provides good accommodation.

We enjoyed our time in Moosenee and our comfortable accommodations contributed to our enjoyment. Amazing community but be aware that very little is open. No restaurants, you need to prepare your own meals an the hotel offered the breakfast area for this.

This is pretty much THE place to stay in Moosonee, partly because everything else is closed. The standards are very good, what you should expect from a Wyndham property, even in the budget Super 8 line. Very kind and accommodating staff. Fridge, microwave, mini Keurig in room. Cool wall art. The building is either relatively new or relatively recently completely refitted. Carpet needed a good vacuuming. But I don't think that was lack of effort or intention by staff, rather more likely a vacuum cleaner that needs a refresh. Room otherwise was spotless. The price is way high, but that's supply and demand. At a Manhattan price level, it would be nice at least maybe to have a set of dumbbells for fitness, and a treadmill, like Super 8 Timmins has.
