Most rooms were small, but staff upgraded us for free in the suite, which I highly recommend to pay for. Everything is close by walking distance. Staff was super helpful in finding the best things to do in the area. Our breakfasts were always plentiful with fruits and great food. Everyone was super kind. Only thing to note is that it can be very, very noisy when it winds and there are motorcycle running all the time, but that is probably true every where in Santa Elena. About the rooms, make sure you validate which room you have, some of the smaller ones are really small. The larger one are spacious, beautiful, clean. We loved our stay.

Quaint little bed and breakfast! Super clean rooms and the most incredible view ever of Monteverde! Ro was so helpful with anything we needed and was so so kind to us!! 100% recommend staying here! Also so close to Santa Elena which has lots of restaurants and shops!

My friend and I arrived early to Cabinas Vista Al Golfo and were greeted at their security gate by friendly staff. The private room/private bathroom was exceptional - large, clean, and comfortable! The wifi was a little bit weak in our unit but that could have also been due to the intense winds that we experienced. Parking was in front and behind our building and monitored by cameras. Breakfast was included with fruit, eggs, and pancakes. Quite delicious!

Nice hotel/hostel. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was good. I think it changes every other day but we had eggs, fresh fruit, and pancakes. There is juice, coffee and cereal as well. You do need to schedule a time for breakfast as they only have one person cooking in a small space an d don't want everyone coming at once. Very short walk into town. Our only complaint was the road noise is very loud at night, lots of motorcycles going by but it did quiet down around 11pm.

We stayed in one of the private rooms with en-suite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, the room was smaller but cozy, the shower had hot water with good pressure. The location is within walking distance to restaurants, bank, supermarket, and shops. One thing to note is there was only two small night stands. So it was hard to keep clothing and personal items organized. Breakfast was great and the view is beautiful!

This is a place where the room you have greatly impacts the quality of your stay. I would highly recommend requesting to not have rooms 1-2. These are rihjt in front of reception (3 ft away) and you can hear every conversation anyone ever has w reception. We could hear the videos the night manager was listening to on his phone for an hr. We requested to move rooms after the first night but they were full. You also receive an insane amount of road noise in These rooms from conversations and motorcycles - it’s like they’re in your room. Aside from this, the place had some great qualities- very good breakfast every morning, laundry option, some nice views and hang out spots. This likely would have been a 4 star review if we had a better room.

I was a little worried about booking in a hostel but after reading reviews, decided to give it a chance. Glad we did. The place was clean, comfy and close to the activities we were interested in. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had one of the private rooms with private bathroom. The rain shower was hot with good pressure. Also, one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in Costa Rica included in the price. Felt secure and safe at all times. Now if they could only do something about that wind…. 😉

Excellent location near a supermarket and ATM, with a beautiful view of the rainforest and the Nicoya Gulf. Our room was nice, but not a lot of storage and the charging socket was located very inconveniently on the bed headboard. There is lots of seating, although not particularly comfortable, but everything is well kept. There is a well equipped kitchen and tasty breakfasts. The staff are very helpful and approachable.
